Arrival Story:
I was given to my human sister on her birthday by her boyfriend. As you might expect ( from teenagers ) even though my sister loved me,Mom & Dad took over my care. We did everything together. About 2 years ago I started to have trembling in my hindquarters. The vet said it was hip dysplasia and nerve damage. I was started on medication, and soon began to improve. After a few months ,once again, things began to go down hill. My meds were changed numerous times as was my exercise. I had good and bad times. The last 10 months I was having more and more bad days until I was no longer able to stand or walk. Mom and Dad knew what was in the future. They did all they could to help me. They got a wheelchair for me , a special bed and a harness to hold me up so that I could still go outside to potty and have walks. When I decided that it was time, I let them know in their hearts that I was ready to cross to the TRB. (7-25-08) Mom and Dad took me to Dr. Huneycutt. She gave me a little something to help me relax. While Mom and Dad held me close and told me they would love me forever and that we would be reunited one day, the doctor helped me make a peaceful transition. Mom and Dad are still having a terrible time even though they know that I am in a better place. We will always love each other.

An update on Stranger

Hi Baby Bop,
I wanted to ask you to keep an eye out for Stranger,just in case. While our search continues,we haven't been able to find him. There have been so very many furs and "feathers" that have made their journey to TRB recently,I seem to be in tears everytime I log on to Dogster. In my mind I know that they are all young and healthy again and that TRB is a place of love. My heart,on the other hand, seems to be forever broken and the tears endless.
If Stranger has not found a better place here on Earth to call home,I pray that he is there with you and all Angels ,swimming happily at The Duck Pond with John and Duck 1 & 2.
Thank you and all the Angels for welcoming Buddy to TRB and helping him.We are all missing each of you very much.
I have one more favor to ask of all The Angels. Along with all the humans who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake in Haiti,there were many animals who also made their final journey.Please welcome them and help them understand what has happened. Guide them with your love.
You are missed sweetheart.I love you precious girl.

Buddy is an Angel now

Hello my Angel,
This morning when MiMi gave Buddy and Lucy their breakfast she noticed that Buddy wasn't acting like his usual self. She had to go to the pharmacy (10 minute trip ) so she told herself she would check on him when she got home. When MiMi went to see if he was feeling better,she found that he had passed away. We have no idea why.
Baby girl,when Buddy arrives at TRB please welcome him and help him find his way. Please take care of him and teach him all the things an Angel needs to know. He is such a sweet boy,he will be forever loved and missed.
I LOVE YOU precious girl.

Sweet friends,
Mom and I need to ask a favor. Stranger, our Dexter duck's best friend is missing :o( We are so worried.We haven't seen him in about 48 hours. He is wild but he has been coming here for years. In fact,he usually hangs out here or at least close enough to be seen. We can always count on him to be here at meal times. It's so cold,he needs his corn,scratch feed and pasta. Dexter is so lonely without him.Poor Dex is just moping around. If you have a minute please say a prayer for Stranger,we love & miss him so much.Thanks guys, we love you all.
