Arrival Story:
Well first off I'm a 16 year old country/western artist from a small town in Texas called Coleman. I have been in love with siberians since the 4th grade when I watched a show on the animal planet about sled dogs up in Alaska and all I wanted was a husky. My parents thought I was too young, so here I am 16 and fully reliable for a dog. I spent the last couple of weeks before school started back up at my sisters in Weatherford, TX. I was on a mission to adopt a husky and after going through 6 adoption agencies, and losing hope, my sister suprised me with a gorgeous black and white, 2 year old, blue eyed male from the Fort Worth Humane Society shelter! I cried and I have had him since August 4, 2004 and I havent been happier having him here! I named him Aniu (pronounced Ain-yoo) which means new fallen snow in alaskan/eskimo. Why he was in that shelter for a month is beyond me! I didnt know anything about him..birthday, characteristics, housebroken, nothing at all. Since im in school and my parents work he has to stay at home..and from day one he hasnt done a thing! No accidents, no chewing, nothing! He stays at home with our other family dog (actually my dads baby), Delilah who is a schnauzer.I really take it as a sign, and him a gift from God..so we're both very happy!
