Digging is FUN!

Over the years I have had lots of fun digging holes and now I am a master. The humans came outside the other day to feed me and my pen mates. They couldn't find me. I had dug such a great hole that I was completely hidden from view. My jingling collar gave me away though and they started peering down the hole and calling me. That was when I decided the game was over and came bursting up out of the hole with a big grin on my face.

ADOPT 2011 CONTEST

I love rescue and adoption because without it I might not be around anymore. I got to my foster home when I was almost two years old. Foster mom says my humans must have been pretty good to me at some point because I was already spayed and healthy. She can't imagine how I wound up abandoned. She waited and waited for my owners to look for me, but we never heard anything from them.

I was missing a large chunk of fur on my head when I got here, but it was healed up and the fur was growing back. Foster mom doesn't know how it happened and I'm not telling because it is not important. However it happened it certainly has had no effect on my personality. I love to wiggle and make cute little noises at all the people I see.

My biggest problem is I love to chase cars. I just want them to stop, so I can ride with them. I love to go places in the car. That is the most fun a dog can have in my opinion. Actually that is how I wound up being taken into my foster home. I was in a neighborhood chasing cars and the people that lived there finally figured out that I had been abandoned. They called foster mom because they were afraid I would get run over.

I wish more people would consider adopting because there are great dogs like me waiting for a home. I've been waiting for three years now. My friend Aria had been waiting for four years and finally this year a nice guy came and took her to her forever home. I sure was happy for her. I hope soon I can find a great home too, but until then I will just keep wiggling and smiling.
