My birthday

I was a winter dog - I was born in the winter and Mom also got me in the winter. I was so small when Mom got me that I had to take little jumps to walk over the short winter grass! I was born 21 years ago today. I have been at the bridge now for going on 8 years. Mom still misses me and I miss her. I miss snuggling with her at night at the foot of the bed and keeping her feet warm in the winter. I know it is winter on earth - I wonder if she misses me lying on her feet. I hope so, though I do know that she has two new buddies to snuggle with, I still know she thinks of me often. I wonder if she misses me running circles in the house - I know that she doesn't have a dog there now that has taken over that job. I was unique. I was loved, I am still loved and I know Mom looks at my picture in her room all the time and remembers...I remember too, fondly and with love in my heart.

my birthday

Today January 12 is my birthday. And so many Dogsters were so kind to send me well-wishes and gifts and rosettes and bones. I LOVE it!!! FUN!!! My mom always remembers me too this time of year, though today she was a bit preoccupied because Kenzie is so sick and is in the hospital. But I know that Kenzie will be OK. She is young and strong.

Had I still been on earth, I would be 20 years old today!!!!

Comforting thoughts/Dr. Mark

Kenzie is in the care of Dr. Mark, so she is in the bestest hands. I know he will take good care of her and won't let anything happen to her. Celene and Cheri do not know Dr. Mark and how good he is, but he was my doctor and he was wonderful to me and right on target with diagnosis issues. I bet Kenzie is back as good as new in no time!!

Tag Game

OK - the rules are, once you are tagged, you have to write 7 facts about yourself in your diary, then you have to tag 7 of your pup pals!! FUN!

1. A picture of me on a calendar appears on the wall (Josie Bissett's sorority room in the film) of the motion picture, All American Murder.

2. I have a wall of ribbons at Mom's house that I won in costume contests, trick contest etc.

3. I loved to play "keep away" with a pink and black nerf football.

4. I had a LOT of herding instinct, and would "herd" the columns in Mom's house, as well as the dining room table!

5. Photos of me appeared twice in the magazine Dogs USA.

6. I was allowed in St. Francis Hospital to visit a friend, even though I was not a therapy dog.

7. I was allowed on many golf courses and country clubs, including Southern Hills in Tulsa!!

wonderful new friends

I am so happy!!! I was very hungry and feeling very lonely last night, but a whole herd of dogster dogs have cheered me up!!! I now have more bones than anybody could ever want, several rosettes and a new star. I also was invited to join some groups!!! I am SOOO happy I could dance!!!! Mom is very happy too. I wish I had stars to give to all of my new friends. Mom is trying to earn some zealies by voting in the photo contest. I just want the whole world to know how much I appreciate the dogster dogs!!!

Feeling a little lonely

I really wasn't a bad dog. I am lonely and hungry. Mom gives me a bone when she visits my page, but it seems like all my family members have more bones and rosettes and stars than I do. They also have been invited to join groups, but it seems like nobody wants me. I know I wasn't the first Sheltie "that started it all" or an agility star, but I was special too. I love my mom and still am fiercely protecting her home from the Rainbow Bridge. If only others would notice me a little. I don't mean to be complaining at all, but I am just so hungry. If you have any bones to share, I would appreciate them.

I am new to Dogster. Mom finally scanned a bunch of my photos and got them on a page for me. IT"S ABOUT TIME!!! MOM HAS SCADS AND SCADS OF WONDERFUL PHOTOS OF ME. WHAT WAS SHE WAITING FOR??? GRRR...Anyway, I am SOOO honored to be included now with the rest of the family. I was a HUGE part of Mom's life, and I loved her so. Mom got me when I was very young - 5 1/2 weeks, probably a bit too young, and I bonded to Mom very tightly - I really did think she was my real mother. I was a one-person dog, and didn't have much use for anybody else unless they had food, which changed everything!! I looked up to Mom and protected her--I could be pretty aggressive if need be. Mom says I had a lot of "fire". Autumn, Celene, and Cheri are calmer souls. That calmness and peacefulness is good for Mom. Kenzie has "fire" but it is a goofy kind of "fire", not the type that I had that could leave people shaking in their boots!!! Kenzie is just funny and she makes people laugh. Of course, Kenzie and I are the retrievers of the bunch, though I was the BEST at frisbee. I wish I could have tried agility - I would have LOVED it. But Mom didn't even know about agility when she had me.

I hope that I make a lot of new friends on here. I really am very sweet deep down. My bark is definitely worse than my bite!!
