belly rubs, playing with doggie friends, hogging the couch and bed, going for walks, playing in the tennis courts at the park (we don't want to bring him to a dog park until he's completely utd on his vaccines, and we're sure nothing bad with happen)
the cats, long car rides (gets nervous and sick sometimes....i feel bad that we're taking him to new york with us and camping a lot, hopefully he gets better), the cats, being told not to chase the cats, having to lay on the floor, and the cats
so far, none. I know he's got a playful side, though, it comes out from time to time, just doesn't last long.
I don't think he has one really. At the pound they would sometimes bring him Mc Donald's and hotdogs....so regular dog food is pretty boring for him right now.
The bridal trail, but he enjoys our routine, neighborhood walks too
So far he only knows sit, down, and paw. We're working on a stay before anything else. He's also learning to watch me, target, and a couple amusing tricks.
We went to the danbury pound to look at a smaller dog that was there. When one of the volunteers took him (then, Comet) out we decided to take him for a stroll. He came home with us a couple hours later.
He came home with us October 6, 2007. The people at the pound said he was 2-3 years old, found roaming four months prior, and a greyhound mix that gets along with other animals....He does have a sighthound-ish body, and I'm on a mini-quest to figure out what he might be. He's definately not tall enough to be mostly greyhound and after looking for a while I'm starting to think maybe dutch shepherd. I know they're still quite rare, so probably not. But he does seem quite protective, intelligent, eager to please, etc. We've only had him for a little over a week, so it's still hard to really know his true personality. Sometimes he seems to have the lazy greyhound-ness, but he can definately go the distance. His tail falls like a dutchie too. A few people have said maybe doberman, and I'm still comparing pictures and stuff. (the brindle is probably throwing me off a lot) Not that his breed is important, but it'd be nice to know.
