Arrival Story:
We found Lucy as a small pup....full of energy..we knew the confines of a small apartment with no yard was going to be a challenge,but she managed wonderful....then one day,we found a small male siamese kitten,though it appeared of age and no longer needing a mother's attention,it somehow still wanted a mother,and strangely,it chose,Lucy,not one of the many cats..Lucy had yet to ever go into heat,or even know what motherhood was about,we figured she was a late bloomer,for in this picture she is about 16 months old only,but had all the internal mother instinct going,to her,Buster was her baby,and would protect him,stand close to him,sleep with him,and yes,as the picture shows,nurse him,she even after having her checked,produced milk for him,this went on for months,close to 7 to be exact......it was hard finding Buster's a furever home,but we did......as we also did for Lucy...sometimes,being a foster parent is hard......they had both passed to the bridge,but to me,I still somehow see them this way.....a mommy and her baby....
