He wisely wandered onto a farm and tried to blend in with the rest of the animals. The nice family there began to feed him and tried to find out who he belonged to. It became apparent after a bit that Wesley had been mistreated by someone and so they tried to be very kind and gentle with him. After a few weeks when nobody came for him, this family decided to adopt him. They named him Buddy, got him his vaccinations and tags. After just a couple of weeks, the family went to Chicago and made arrangements for him to stay with babysitters. Tragically, while in Chicago, the father of this family suddenly died. The family contacted the babysitters to tell them that everything had now changed and could they please try to find him another home. The babysitters kept him for a couple of weeks and I happened to meet one of them at my doctors office where I overheard a bit about "Buddy", (who they thought was Labradoodle) and how they would have to take him to a shelter after the weekend if they didn't find him a home. I very quickly gave my number to the babysitter and took hers as well. I went to see him that evening and it was love at first sight! I decided with all that had happened to him that he needed a fresh start...and a fresh name. I decided on Wesley because it seemed to match his very sweet personality.
