Arrival Story:
I'm not sure of Greta's actual birthday because she is a rescue schnauzer. I became her mommy on February 4th, 2004. My family has had schnauzers for several years now. My dad got a call from the breeder he got his schnauzer from. She told him someone had brought this schnauzer to her that they had found. The dog was malnourished, matted to the skin, extremely timid, and showed signs of abuse. My dad agreed to keep her until a home could be found for her. When I got home that day, I fell in love with her immediately. It didn't take long to realize that she was meant for me. The vet said Greta was about two years old when I adopted her. Since then, she has had a very happy life and loving environment. It took her a very long time to learn how to love and play, because of what she endured earlier in life. She is my blessing and the best dog I could ever ask for.
