Ripped ear

my ear

on February 10th I was running along side of the house and my ear got caught on mom and dads 5th wheel and almost ripped all the way off.
I ran in the house waiting for mom and dad to get home to stop the bleeding
I got blood all over the walls and carpet, mirrored closed doors.
When mom and dad walked in they freaked out and moms pulse was racing while she was calling the e.r. vet, well...my ear is all stitched and now I have a huge bandage on side of my head and have to wear a cone for 2 weeks until I get my stitches out.
I heard mom telling dad it looked like somebody poured red stain all over my body, she thought at first I had got into a can of red pain, until dad wiped the blood away and say it was from my ear.
I was supposed to go camping with the family (mom, dad and big sis Haley rae and Mugsy man, but now grama and grampa are going to dogsit me)
I am going to miss out on all the fun at the lake because the vet said I couldnt go....I am a little sad, but I love to visit my grama and grampa.

On the Road

I am on my way to gramas house, she is going to watch me tonight and tomorrow while mom is at work, mom is going to pick me up after work tomorrow.
I will stay the night with mom and dad tomorrow because mom has Thursday off and I have to go to the vet for a bandage change and to check my sutures.
Mom already told everyone at work she is going to cry when she sees my stitches, they sure do itch, but nobody will let me scratch them.
Friday morning its back to gramas until everyone gets back from camping on Monday. I'm sure HaleyRae and Mugsy are going to brag about the trip since I cant go, I sure hope grama lets me sleep with her, I'm used to sleeping with my mom and I am always chilly..........thank goodness I dont have to go to a stupid Kennel and thank goodness grama and grampa luv me.........well they should...I am their youngest/favorite grandson !!

Road to Recovery

My ear is completely healed, but has left me with a nice scar. Mom says it gives me character and I am still her cutie pie...I don't miss that awful cone I had to wear, it was good for one thing though, covering toys so HaleyRae couldnt get them. I am back to myself, terrorizing my sister and brother and the cats...........life is good!

Gardening, My New Hobby

Dad planted the prettiest petunias, marigolds and pansies around the base of our tree in the backyard. That compost/potting soil smelled soooo good, but I just watched while dad made everything pretty for mom to see when she got home. When dad called mom at home while he was on break (remember he works nights now) he asked how it looked, I heard her tell him, " I'm sure it looked better while he was home".......how was I to know that the sweet smelling dirt wasn't for me to have fun in and the flowers were not toys for me to toss in the yard?
Dad asked mom if she spanked me, and she said , " of course I did. She did not spank me, she just held a flower to my face and I turned away in shame...., but I didnt get a spanking . She could tell by my face that I felt bad, she just said "bad boy" and I looked down then I did the wiggle-butt dance and she kissed me! My mama loves me!!! I sure hope dad doesn't read this!! Yikes!

cabin heaven

Mom rented a cabin in the Tahoe National Forest, they are called: Shinney Boo Cabins, I am putting a shout out to them. We had so much fun on all the trails and at the river and lakes around. They are dog friendly and very cozy.
They are studio cabins with a loft , in case you have kids, the loft has a twin bed and a single bed. There is a queen bed downstairs, fireplace, table for two, microwave oven, small fridge, coffee pot, tea pot and the best part is I was sooo dirty I got to use the jacuzzi bathtub with dad ! They are small pine cabins, so best with couples with dogs and a kid or two. There is a small deck with sitting for four and a gas bbq, which dad made us hot dogs on!
Cabin #8 is what mom says she recommends because it backs up to the forest which is 160 acres!!! and we got to run loose and wild and get dirty!!
Mom says she doesn't know the owners , so she is not advertising for them, but highly recommends this place for dog lovers living in California or just visiting. It is $150 night (weekends) $139 a night weeknights, but they always have specials. At night they bring an ice chest for your breakfast foodies, ours had hard boiled eggs, yogurt, orange juice, cheese , banana, orange and muffins.
There is a basket in the cabins with Peets coffee (which is moms fav coffee),
hot choc, hot cider, all kinds of teas and microwave popcorn.
So....If you are ever in California, you need to check this place out.

Fireworks

I had my first 4th of July celebration and boy did I enjoy those fireworks. I wanted to go up to the pretty colors and touch them, but mom and dad said I had to sit back with everybody else and enjoy the view. They were so beautiful, mom was worried that I was going to be scared, but I saw Haleyrae and Mugsy just chillin on the grass and playing with their toys, so it made me feel safe.
I can't wait until next year...
