Arrival Story:
We went to the Kansas Humane Society to look for a SMALL dog. We found a litter of puppies and fell in love. There were three in the litter, but Max was the cutest. We were told that someone else wanted to adopt him, but were told to call the next day to see if they would change their minds. We called the next day and he was available!! We took him home as soon as we could. We then started training him to be a therapy dog. Because he was so young, he failed the first time. (He only missed one command - ignoring other dogs! - more experienced dogs were missing 3 or 4 commands! We were proud!) He will take the test again soon, and I am positive he will pass this time!
Bio:
Max is still visiting the classroom. He seems to know which student needs him the most and spends most of the day with that student. He is an awesome dog - the kids all love him as much as he loves them.

Today I spent the day in Mom's classroom. It was SO exciting!!! She teaches kids with special needs. I didn't see anything wrong with them, but Mom says that sometimes they have problems with their behavior. Don't we all? Sometimes I make a mistake - but Mom loves me anyway. She loves all the kids in her class, too!! I hope I get to go back, soon!!
