SKUNK!!!

Oh no. That was NOT a good thing that happened. i thought it was a cat. OUR cat is black and white. But this was NOT a cat. It was a skunk. i thought its dancing was funny. But then this VERY stinky stuff came out and got on MEe! Mom said i shouldnt be sticking my nose where it doesn't belong. But i didnt know that thing would make such a bad smell! She sayz she hopes i learnd my lesson. i think i did. But i really thot it was a cat. i dont know if i will be able to tell the difference next time. i had to take a LOT of baths and Mom put tomato juice on me and then said she was sorry because that didnt work. She said it was an old wive's tale. i dont know what that means, but i did not like the juice. it made me look funny and mom wouldn't let me lick it. Then she put this other stuff on that kinda stung and then she cut some of my fur off!! i looked very funny. i think my brudders and sister were laffing at me. AND mom had to throw away my pretty collar. it was stinky too. i think skunks are very bad things.

Oh boy...We had so much fun on our trip this week! We got to go to a dog store. AND we got to go inside!!! AND they bought us treats and we got lots of attention. If that wasn't good enough THEN we went to Gramma's House!! Mom and Dad take AJ there alot and Daisy got to go once before, but I never did. It was fun! There were lots of things to smell and to PEE on! Mom and Gramma kept hollering not to pee on the pots, but there were SO many things to mark! I mean, I wouldn't want just any old other dog thinking they could stay at MY grammas house! Would you? AND Grampa made ribs and they gave us the BONES!!! Yum! They have a pool too - I jumped in once, but it was hard to get out so I didn't get back in. But Gramma said that I'm a good swimmer, but I just know how to doggy paddle.....Peanut, my cousin, is a LOUD swimmer. I think she's trying to walk on the water - but dogs can't do that. We didn't stay long enough, but it was fun while we were there. I like to watch things go by while I'm riding in the car, but I was so tired that I slept most of the way home. It's good to be back.

THE POOL

Mom and Dad FINALLY put the pool out for us....I wuz wondering when they were goIng to do That. It is H-O-T in Texas. This week it was REALLy hot. Mom told me that it was over one hunnerd degreez - but I dont know what that means. I just know it was HOT. its not too bad today - but i am glad they put the pool out. Sister thinks its to play in and another good way to get muddy (boy does SHE get in trouble!) but I know its becuz mom and dad love us and want us to stay cool. they have been cutting and digging things too. its a LOT of dirt in our yard. Its so HARD to not play in it - but I know better. Mom doesnt let me inside if i'm too dirty...so I try to not do that. One time I got really dirty and she gave me a BATH when I went inside. I do NOT want that to happen again. It is NO fun taking baths - especially inside. Thats another reason I like the pool, I can stay clean on my own. Sister better learn how to do that or she will stay outside a LOT!
