Dogster Day!

Today is my anniversary of the day that I joined Dogster! HOORAY for me! I have been on the site for 6 years. Of course, I have been in heaven for one of those years. The site has gone through so many changes, but the one thing that stays the same are the good friends that I have made here.

And even though I am not quite as active as I used to be, everyone has been so welcoming to my new sis Lucky!

So come over and eat some Dogster Anniversay cake,just don't burn your tails on all the candles.

A pup from home

so here I am up on the Rainbow Bridge enjoying the all day ham fest with chocolate covered ham for desert (or is it dessert? when you're in heaven spelling doesn't matter). I am lying on "the good couch" putting dog hair all over, when I hear a familiar bark.

It is my friend Harley. Harley was a nieghorhood friend and not a virtual dogster friend. (Both are good to have. Harley and I used to run the neighborhood together along with Freckles and Daisy and Casey and Buddy and Zora. Now Buddy is the only pup left in the nieghborhood. Harley was one of my first friends and he was also one of Lucky's first friends, too. Everytime Lucky would go on a walk, Harley would end up tagging along. Harley said every dog thought it was because my mom has treats in her pockets, but all us dogs in heaven know it is because mom is just a doggie type person. (Lots of Dogster people are.)

So Harley said he got hit by a car and his injuries were too bad for him to fight it. He will miss his boy Brandon and his dad and mom. I know that Lucky will miss him, too.

Oh but the good thing about Harley being in heaven is while he was alive, he had a really good friend named Foxy. All the people would laugh and say that Harley and Foxy were like a married couple. Foxy died a few years ago and now here she is knocking at my door to collect her "husband".

So it was good to see Harley. All us neighborhood dogs are going to see if the ham tree is ripe yet. All us pups are doing good. Don't miss us too much, ok?

I got tagged! I love a good game of tag. Here we go!

1. Do you ever wake your parents up in the night?

Before I went to the rainbow bridge, it was rare that I would wake mom and dad up. Towards the end I did, but of course they understood that. Now that I am at the Bridge, I sometimes visit them in dreams. So I am not waking them up, but we are still having a visit.

2. Do you ever tear up things?

I was never a big chewer. But one time I chewed up one of Luke's action figure. It was the Rock. He was delicious.

3. What is your favorite treat?

Well, I love the honey ham dipped in chocolate they have up here at the Bridge. When I was on earth I loved peanutbutter and meat and cheese and bread and cheeseburgers and tacos and well I think it would be quicker to list the foods I didn't like.

4. Can you fetch something when asked ?

Yes I could. I was quite discriminating. When mom would say: "Bring me Baby. " I would bring her my chihuahua. When she would say: "Bring me brown bear. " I would bring her brown bear. Mom was especially impressed when she would be reading the paper and I would just bring her the DAILY GROWL.

5. Have you Ever lived any place else?

Now I live on the rainbow bridge. Before that I lived with my mom and dad in St. Albans. Before that I lived in the animal shelter because the first people who had me didn't teach me any manners and got rid of me because I jumped on them. STUPID PEOPLE.

Well, that was a fun game and now I am off to tag some other pups.

Thank you everyone for the gifts and well wishes. Dog of the Day is pretty special. I promise to do my best for all pups until my reign is over tomorrow.

I want to tell all the pups who have not been Dog of the Day to have hope! I have been on Dogster for over 5 years and this is the first time I made DOTD!

I also want to tell all the people that we pups on the bridge are fine and happy and healthy. We have tons and tons of fun every day. So please do not be sad that we had to leave you. In a little while we will be together again.

Dog of the Day!

My sister Lucky Isabella (Danger) was picked to be Dog of the Day today! Hooray! She sure deserves it. She is a great pup and does a good job keeping mom and dad in line.

Fleas

Yikes! I had Dogster Fleas. The great new changes to Dogster erased my page for a few days! Mom was a little upset because I am her angel, but all you have to do is look at a wall, any wall, in our house you will see a picture of me, or Lucky or Poor Sweet Doggie Dude. I am sure it is the same in your house. Anyways its good to have my page back. Now back to the hamfest.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped Lucky get to 1000 hits! and she has made some new friends, too. What do they say? "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other is gold." Well back to the never ending ham buffett.

Hello from Heaven. It is, of course, really great up here and all of us pups here are having a great time.

OH NOES!

Oh noes! Mom forgot to renew our plus subscription. It runs out on Monday! So she wrote a check and is sending Daddy right to the post office to mail it. San Franciso is pretty far from West Virginia, so it might take a few days for the check to make it. So we will be without plus for a few days. I know there are other ways to pay but since it is a holiday weekend it will probably take just as long to get the $ to dogster. Oh well, not being plus is fun too. And Dorothy can remember Dogster before plus was even invented. We both think that mom's New Year's Resolution should be to be more timely-you know how she is. Keeping Halloween decorations up until Christmas, putting Christmas decorations up on Christmas eve, not paying the Dogster bill in a timely fashion. That mom-what a airhead.

Pup Pal Requests

While I was here on earth, I made a lot of Dogster Pals. Now I am in heaven and I sent my mom and dad a new pup-Lucky. I made a lot of good dogster pals, but any time Lucky tries to make a ppr with one of my friends, she gets a message that says-You are already friends with this pup. Well, I Dorothy Louise is, but Lucky is not. So please send my Lucky some pprs so she can know all the good friends I have known. Thanks. Have a happy Christmas.
