Arrival Story:
My husband and I fell in love with the Akita breed after we adopted our first Akita few months before. We wanted another one to make our family complete and she arrived at our house when she was 11 weeks old! She was our first internet purchase.
Bio:
Xena went blind during the summer of 2008, and she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and went through a course of radiation in January and February of 2009. She did wonderfully and although her sight did not come back, the radiation shrank the tumor and she is currently happy and pain-free.
