Sadie was a puppymill breeder dog, and had a number of litters. She was going to be dumped off somewhere, or put to sleep when a nice family heard of it, they took Sadie and her brothers. She was listed on craigslist.org for adoption. I saw the ad, and emailed the people www.occretrieverrescue.com so they could get her a home, or at least a foster situation. Lo and Behold, we had just adopted Duke and he was one of those calm super relaxed dogs.. wasn't like having a dog at all.. I thought it would maybe be nice in a year to get a puppy sister for him. occ emailed me, and followed up on Duke, and casually mentioned Candy (Now sadie) needing a Foster home. We sadi sure, why not. We went and picked her up.. had her about 2 days and renamed her Sadie.. after that she was no longer a foster dog.
