Nicknames: Iz(thats what everyone calls me), IzzyBee (like BusyBee), and Izafer when I'm in trouble, Furbie and FurbieLess now that I got shaved. My real name is Isabella though!
Birthday: November 20th 2006
Likes: Learning a new trick, running to to the top of the A-frame then running right back down to annoy the furless sis, biting my big brother's ankles, and I likes lazing around.
Pet-Peeves: Baths are the worst, same goes for the groomers. And I could do without super long walks, as well!
Favorite Toy: My bo bo toy- the one from the PetSmart commerical. Update: My pink bo bo was destroyed, but I have since got a pink breast cancer awareness one. I love anything squeaky!
Favorite Food: Peanut butter (my favorite!), my liver flavor moist dog treats, strawberries, and anything I can steal off Mom's plate, of course!
Favorite Walk: Walks can be fun, but as long as they are short. Down the street and back is fine with me!
Best Tricks: I know lots. Sit/Down Stay, Come, Dance, Sit Pretty, Place, Around, Drop, Drop it. Agility Terms: Up, Tunnel, Jump, Slow Down, Faster, Out, Get it, Touch and more
Arrival Story: My furless sister (who is now my trainer) had been looking at small dogs for over a year. She knew her Mom (who is my Mom as well) would not let her get one, which of course was true. But when Mom saw my picture on the online newspaper it was instant love!
Bio: Mom says I am the best behaved dog she has ever had. I have had lots of training and am getting ever so closer to competing in Agility. I am just a spunky and social little girl. Every one I meet falls in love with me, thats what Mom says at least!
Well, last night was the second class in my third Agility class...Well that sounds a little bit confusing...Well, I'm in my third 7 week class, lets put it that way! Last night Mom was very proud of me! My Agility pal is Daisy the Maltese and we are the only "small" dogs, and we always get to work together! So we got to start with the weave poles. I still need the wires on them, but I only jumped over the wires a couple times, after that I was going super fast through those poles!
Next up was the dog walk. You run up as fast as you can, walk on the thin board that is straight, then back down, but slower because at the end you have to "touch"- two paws on the dog walk and two paws off, still working on that one though! But I did pretty good, off leash I only ran past it one time, and the rest I ran right onto it and kept going!
Next was the hoops and pause table. You go through two hoops off leash and jump onto a table that is raised off the ground a little bit, then you sit or lie down and hold it for at least 5 seconds. This one is probably the hardest for me, but luckily I will not have to do the pause table in competition.
And finally was the hoop, shoot, and hoop. This, again, is off leash. You run through one low hoop, into the shoot, and the shoot is half a tunnel and the rest is tunnel but fabric so it is just like being under the covers but running, and then once you get out of the shoot you run to another hoop and go through. I did awesome on this!
Mom'll have to video tape me and the furless sister at Agility class one day and post it on here!
As I'm sure you know, Christmas was a few days ago. This was my second Christmas but first one with Mom, and I loved it! The furless sisters got up early and opened their presents, Mom gave me a bone to go chew on but it took too long and I didn't open my stocking until right before the furless family had to leave to go see relatives. I got a Christmas bo bo (you know the toy in the Petsmart commercial, the long squeaky one?), lots of mini tennis balls, new treats to try, a sweater, a drawing of me jumping through a tunnel, a new squeaky toy, and a new food dish. Boy, I sure got a lot!
We took pictures of my drawing and will be putting it on my page. To be more elaborate on the drawing, it is of me jumping through a pink tunnel and the furless sister pointing to the tunnel. It was taken from a real picture of me at training class. An artist drew it for us and Mom let the furless sis have it in her room. So, all in all it was a GREAT Christmas!
Earlier tonight, Mom left me downstairs and she went upstairs to do some work. 5 minutes later she heard coughing and gagging. She ran downstairs and saw a string of yarn, then she followed the noise. The source of the noise, was of course, me- isn't it always me nowadays? When she got closer she saw the blue string in my mouth! Turns out I had taken out a ball of yarn from the furless sis's knitting bag and dragged it through 2 whole rooms! Mom retraced my steps, but she was really just glad she heard me. She still is not sure how it happened, but it did, at least she got to me in time!
