Arrival Story:
I Lost my Great Pyrenees Cross in June. I was Heart Sick and kept telling my hubby I lost my Protector, He watched over me all the years you worked away from home, I just did not know what I was going to do. His name was Big Bubba. Hubby told me he had been thinking and he told me he did not care what it cost to find another Pyrenees. I looked at Breeders but the wanted way more then we could do. I went to Rescue and they were to far away from where we lived. Finally I came to the conclusion it just was not meant to be. I had to take Missy and The pups to the vet to get shots on 8-27-07. While I was at the vets office I over heard them talking about a Lady who had Pyrenees pups. I asked where they were. She said the are not full blooded and I said neither was Big Bubba. I got the phone number and gave the lady a call. I just knew they were placed. She told me she had two of them and one was white and one was black, they were two weeks old. I went to her house to see them and I picked the White one. I then went about looking for a name for her, but I wanted something Special. I though about calling her Snow in Spanish but there was a problem I could not say it and could not remember how to spell it. One day when I was in town I ran into a friend I had not seen for a while and I was telling her how I lost Big Bubba and how I had found the new pup. She asked if I picked the white one and I said yes and I wanted to name her snow in Spanish but had problems with saying it and spelling it. She laughed and said why don't you call her Paloma? Dove in spanish. I just went into tears as I felt that was a perfect name and at that time I felt Big Bubba had a hand in her coming to me as well as her name. As soon as I got to where Hubby worked I was so excited and I said tell me little in spanish. He said I think it's Chiquita. I laughed and said I have her name Chiqiuta Paloma, ( Little Dove ). I went to see every chance I got and called to check on her when I could not. She came home Yesterday. 10/09/07. What a Doll she is. She is already showing signs of her protective nature as she was right by my side up until I went to bed. The lady who had her said she really felt this was going to be a special girl and she has a great purpose in life. I feel the same way. In the pictures the first two of Paloma are when she was three weeks old. She was so cute and precious ( well she still is ) then. She has fit in with my family of Critters known as The Country Bumpkis very well. Missy's pups simply Love her and they are playing all the time. She has made no attempt to go after the cats which to me is a good thing. I have high hopes for Paloma and I am excited about who she will grow up to be.

Hello My name is Chiquita Paloma which means (Little Dove) This name was picked out special by my New Mom (Vi). She brought me home on Oct 9, 2007. My New Mom first picked me up when I was two weeks old when she came to see My sister and Me. She liked me as even at three weeks I would snuggle close to her. she called to see how I was doing and she came to see me every chance she got. The day Mom came to take me home Grandma Becky was telling her a story of how I got lost and no body knew where I was and they went. They looked all obers for me I was a cazillon miles from home, and they just did not know how they were going to tell New Mom I was lost. They cried and prayed and finally one day while Grandma Becky was at work a man brought me to her work. She was so excited to see me and kept me there with her the whole day. I felt I was pretty special. Grandma Becky told Mom a story as well and I must say it really touched Mom. Mom told me when I got home that I was a very special girl and that one day I would do great things . And the reason I was so Special is because I help to heal a hurting heart. I am not quite sure what that means as I am only 7 weeks old, but Mom says as I get older I will learn about hurting and healing hearts. She says all the Bumpkins her with her now know how to help a hurting heart.
I finally got to Meet Paddie today and lets me tell you he is humogous. He has got to wght a niclcazillon pounds for he has such huge paws. I really like Paddie he is so sweet and he nuzzeled me to let me know I was a welcome part of the Country Bumpkins. He says I will learn just how special we all are and that I will be a part of the Love and Hopes that Mom has for us all.
Paddie tells me the story of how he and Mom came together and if you look on his Dogester Page the story is there.
He told me of the passing of some of the Bumpkins just recently and he said they were really old.
I do have to tell you I have lots of fun here as Mom has three foster pups they are 12 weeks old and they are Bear, Angels, and Rags. They are way little then I am and good friends now. My first day here with them was not to good they were afraid of me. They all sat in a row in the kitchen and they would just bark and bark. I finally though this is fun so I barked back at them, pretty soon they were all running down the hall I scared them so bad. I went and lain under Moms chair and they all came back in a row to start barking and I though Wow they wants to play so I did my play bounce at them and they ran off again.
The next day was better as Mom has a play pen where they slept when they were little she still keep it up with one siade down as they tell me this is where they like to play. Well my second day home Bear came to get me to play with them. He may haft to re thinks this as I tend to smash them when I get in to play with them But we have fun anyways.
Yesterday Mom and Dad took us on a long walks. This place is big compared to where I cam from, there are hills and canyons every where. Mom says as we get bigger we will go on all kinds of walks to explore.
Well I like to plays with Bears tail and I grabbed it and drug him the way I wanted to go not the way he wanted to go. Mom says I have to stop cause I can hurt his tail. By the Way Mom has to moster critters here, She calls them Baby and Tinker she says they are a horse and Cow. I am going to have to learn who they are but Mom says when I am bigger, they can hurt me now.
I Love laying by Moms feet and I love getting treats. We get lots of them as Mom is always tring to teach one of us something new, but we all gets treats.
Thank You Grandma Becky for seeing I have such a wonderful and Loveing Home with Mom Dad and The Country Bumpkis.
