So we celebrated Easter at our house. Miller and I did a good job of helping Mom keep the floors clean while she was cooking. I think it is important for us to do a good job of it, but it also helps to fill my belly, which is very important to me. My new sister Nancy and I have been enjoying our new life together. I stick with her, because she too needs my help with cleaning up after her, especially while she is eating.
So, they planned an Easter Egg hunt ... I was surely going to participate (Miller chose not too). I smelled some of the eggs and they smelled pretty good. So I chose Nancy to be my partner. I sniffed around and found plenty of eggs for us. It was fun ... We sat down to check our eggs to see what was inside ...YUM jelly beans! I must be quick on my feet to get those beans before Nancy could eat them all. So, I jumped up and barked (it was cue for Miller to barked and run around) ... Miller startedBarking ... Good thing he barks when I bark, because I am not always sure that he remembers the signals... So, when everyone was distracted chasing after Miller, I knocked over the basket and ate all the jelly beans. They were good. I made sure to save one egg for Miller ...He would just have to find it before I get hungry again. Jelly Beans are Delicous!
But about an hour later, I just did not feel so well and the next thing I knew. The Jelly Beans I ate earlier were all over the carpet. Bummer ... they do not taste good coming back up. My Mom told me to stay away from the jelly beans as she cleaned up my mess. Then I remember that I had an extra egg that I hid ... I went off to find it before Miller did.
YUM Jelly Beans! I ate all of the last egg of Jelly beans! Ewe I did not feel good again.... And those jelly beans were all over the carpet. My Mom made me a bowl of chicken n rice to settle my stomach. Boy that was good, but I think I need to find more jelly beans ...
I let you know if I find some more... YUM!

So, Thanksgiving is coming up ... My parents are heading to Cleveland and leaving Miller and I with a new sitter.
I have a plan to get the turkey ...
The sitters Mom is like the best cook in the neighborhood and very sympathetic to animals. So, I told Miller to practice his limp and yelp so that they will be convinced that he is hurt and need extra attention. She will forget about the turkey on the table ... Then I will sneak in swift footed and make the turkey disapear ... I will have to save the drumstick for Miller, but the rest will be mine! YUMmmmm!
Wish me luck!

OK ... Cody was not that bad to hang around with. We cased a little bit and we played. Mom and Dad took us on an extra long walk and let me bark at everything. I actually think I was able to get more cookies with Cody there ...Which is always good. Plus he kept Miller occupied, so I could get in an extra nap.
All in All I would invite Cody back again ...

So I over heard my Mom & Dad talking yesterday. They said that our neighbor Cody was coming over to spend the weekend. I am worried! Cody is cool, but crazy ... I hope I don't have to continually put him in place. It is hard enough with Miller.
I will keep you posted on what happens this weekend ...

We attended the Mutt March in Detroit, MI this weekend. There were over 100 four legged friends for me to meet and only 5 hours to meet all of them. We started at Hart Plaza and marched upto Circus Park, then came back. It was a lot of fun, but very hot. It was 87 degrees, with very little wind.
I made friends with a bull mastif, but he did not understand that I was a low rider and tried to find where my legs were by lifting up my butt. I informed him that I was not any taller & he would just have to bend down to talk.
My mom's friend Michele was walking me, because I am better behaved than my brother Miller ( Mom had a tough time with him ...I'll let him talk about it.) I was proud to walk with all of the dog to the park. I made sure to mark every corner so we could find our way back. We got to the Circus park ... It had water fountains ... the labs all hoped in the big fountain, making it hard for us smaller guys to cool off. But my Mom found a smaller fountain across the street in the other side of the park for us to play in.
Miller hop up on the side of the fountain to take a look, but was not jumping in. So I hop on the ledge and knocked him in. I was glad he went first, because I found out how deep the water was and whether I had to swim or walk. I then jumped in ... For some reason my Mom and Michele were laughing at us. It was hot out ... Otherwise, I would not have gotten wet don't be silly.
We walk a little further to this outside cafe with tables and chairs. We took a break from our marching and all had lunch. We got cookies ... I love the Cookie! I also convinced my mom that I need some turkey too. I was proud to march ... But I was even more proud of my Mom's team who raised $5000 for the Michigan Humaine Society ... All in All it was a good day!
