Katie's back home - Friday 8/14/09

I just picked up Katie's cremation remains this morning. I feel so much better having her back with me.

They really did a beautiful job and I thank Delaware Pet Cremation for that.

She's at peace. . . . . .

Tuesday (8/3/09)

As you are all aware I had to let Katie go last Friday, she was suffering so.

She was ready and I was there with her as she closed her eyes for the last time. (tears) She went peaceably and and gracefully.

I miss her so much! But I am so glad she is in no more pain and will suffer no more. She was my laughter in life, such as Brandy was my sunshine.

Brie and I thank everyone so much for their support and encouragement during these last few weeks - It really meant so much to us.

We are coping the best we can and have each other still.

Thursday

I think tomorrow is going to be Katie's last day.

I was hoping for maybe Monday but she's in so much misery....
She won't eat, all she does is lay outside, her legs tremble while walking - she can barley make it up the steps. I have a hard time getting her medication down, and even then it is just a few of the many medications she is on, I don't think she can hear anymore, she has both an ear infection and a huge hot spot on her back inside leg.

Watching her it torturous. When she is outside laying flies are all over her and she doesn't even have the energy to care.

I think it's time to let her out of her misery....... :(
