Today mommy brought home her new foster dog, Winston the Chihuahua, from the SPCA that she volunteers at. He only weighs like 4 pounds so Garfield is like 3 times as big as he is! I like him so far I let him know who the dominate dog was when he walked in and he didn't mind me doing that. Mommy say's that if he's now adopted within a week than she'll make him a dogster page.
I passed my Delta Society test! Now I'm a real therapy dog! My mommy and me had to drive down to L.A (which is 2 hours away) to the testing site. My mommy said she was a little nervous before the test but she knew that I would pass and was pretty sure she would pass. The evaluators where very nice and I did pretty good on my test. I got a predictable rating so that means I can only visit predictable facilities but that's okay I don't mind. (http://www.paws4healing.info/)
After the test my mommy took me to huntington dog beach. There where a bunch of dogs there! I didn't want to go swimming in the ocean but I loved to chase the waves back in, I tried to lap up some of the water but I got sand all over my tongue and the water tasted to salt (Ick!).
The next day, my mommy and I went to her uncles's house and I swam in the pool. I didn't really swim around a lot I just kinda swam around the edge. Then my mommy found a small surfboard and decided to see how well I could balance on it. I was really good at "surfing"! I stood up on the board and balanced on top of it and whenever I wanted off I would just jump off into the water.
Getting evaluated, going to the beach, and surfing was pretty tiring. When my mommy and I drove back home I just slept the entire ride back and the rest of the nigh. Yesterday I just slept all day in my kennel I was completely exhausted. I'm pretty much back to normal now though.
