Pepper is on a home trial AGAIN.

Today a young couple was waiting at PetSmart for us to come in with Pepper. They saw her on Petfinder and wanted to adopt her. She is a sweet girl who is very loving. She jumps fences, they have a high one. She liked them and I told them she had been returned before for growling at men. The young man seemed OK with that and I told him he would have to be patient yet firm and correct her if she growles at him. He wants her so he will do that. BUT I think she will be fine because there are only 2 people in the house. I will keep in touch with them and make sure she is happy there. If they change their mind I will simply go get her and bring her home again. I wish her a good life and a happy home. I will miss my computer buddy in my chair with me. Little Pepper Girl....

I Didn't Get Adopted

I went to PetSmart again today. More people and more dogs looking for a home. I tried to be on act my best but it didn't work. Nobody wanted to take me home with them. I was nice to the kids and the other dogs too. Mom said it's just not the right time for me to leave or God would have sent my family to adopt me. I'm OK here and I don't care if nobody wants me. :(

Bye Bye

My foster Mom told me that tomorrow I will be going back to my first foster home to live. She said she is afraid I will get hurt because I jump over the fence when I feel like it. She has been keeping me in my crate a lot and she said it makes her sad to do that. She said my first foster parents have finished moving and are all settled in their new house and I have a place there with them until I get my furever home. I'm kind of sad but I am kind of excited too. I love Mama Teri and Pops. I used to sleep with them but I can't do that here cause Buddy and bella take up too much of the bed. I'm going to be happy in my other home and I'll see my foster Mom again sometimes.

Home Trial for Pepper

Today I went to PetSmart for adoption day,,,,,, again! This day was not the same for me. Today a nice lady and her 2 children saw me and thought I was the perfect dog for them. They have a fenced in yard and the children are 12 and 8. They liked me very much and after they talked to my Mom a long time, Mom said I could go home with them. I'm kind of scared. I don't know how I am supposed to find my way to go potty. I don't know if I will get food and water. Oh ya Mom helped them find bowls for my ffod and water and she helped the load a big bag of my favorite food in their cart too. I love kids. These 2 kids are real nice. They hugged me and talked to me and walked me around the store. Mom gave me a big kiss and hug before I left and she told me not to chew their socks and shoes. Hummmmm That will be hard to resist. I will try though. If the week goes by and they decide to keep me then the papers will be signed and I will have a new family of my very own...........with my very own kids to play with and sleep with. I think I am going to be happy but we will see how the week goes. I will try to be good.

Happy Birthday to meeeeee!

What's a birthday? I like it what ever it is. Mom's been hugging me all day. She gave me a special treat today too. She said I am 2 yrs old now. I think that means I'm a big girl now. It's Mom's birthday too. She said we are both going to have a good day and she was right. hehehe I had fun. We went for a long walk and we played ball with Heidi and Bella. I can run fast! Maybe I can have a birthday again tomorrow. For now I am tired and going to bed.

I can jump high!

There is a 4ft fence here and I can jump it. I saw Mom out walking Daisy and I wanted to go with her so I jumped the fence. Well, I climbed the fence. She was not happy. She put us outside and was mopping the floors and I wanted to be with her so I jumped the fence and sat on the front step until she saw me and let me inside. She is not happy with me. She said she loves me and she doesn't like me out without her. Well if she would let me do what I want to I wouldn't jump the fence. She told Dad they need to get the new higher fence put up sooner than planned. I don't get the problem. I mean I never go away. I stay in my yard and on our step when I grt out. I don't want to run away. Heck! I like it here so why would I run away? I'm not nuts. I have all I could want here. Still Mom is upset. Guess I'll have to cool it for a while. I'll try.
Mom said I get to go to PetSmart with her tomorrow for adoption day. I like to go and maybe I will find my own furever home tomorrow. Maybe I'll even have a little human to play with me. :) I would like my very own family to love.

I went to PetSmart

Yesterday I went to adoption day at PetSmart. Mom put a Halloween bandana on my neck and I looked cute. It was OK there. I've been before when I was living at the kennels. Mom said I would get a home. Well guess what? I didn't get adopted! Only one person looked at me there. I was real good. I listened well. I tried to wag my tail and smile a lot but it didn't work. Maybe next week. Mom said I can go back again. It was fun. I saw Doogie there with his new owner. He was very happy. I'm going to be very happy with my furever family too....when they find me.

I got a new friend

Her name is Rose. She left here the day before I came here. Bella told me about her and Doogie. She said they were going to their furever homes. BUT Rosy is back. She is a nice old gal. She's 4 and 1/2 and she is real scared and real quiet. I like her fine. She's nice to me. She is scared of me. That's so sad. She needs a friend. I'll be her friend.
Things are going well for me. My sore on my neck is almost all gome. My foster Mom puts med. on it every day after she washes it. She said my collar was the cause of it. They told her it was a "hot spot" but she says no it was a simple problem. It feels good now. I have friends to play with and I am being a good girl. Well I did steal a sock out of the laundry basket yesterday but Mom just took it away and laughed at me. Heidi is my bestest ever friend. We play all the time. She is littler then me but she is strong and she is very loud. She barks and makes all kinds of play noise. She's funny. I like Heidi. I do need a furever home but I don't know when that will happen. Till then I'm doing great!

Happy but Confused

Somehow I ended up at the pound! I was so scared and I wanted my Mom but could not find her. I stayed there it seems like a long time. It smelled funny, the other dogs were barking and some were crying and others were very angry. I didn't like the food and I had to stay in a kennel with other scared pups. I was scared. What did I do wrong, to end up there?
Then a nice lady came and got me and some other of my prison mates. She took us to her house and then a few days later, she took us to the vet. I got shots and an operation! The humans called it "spayed". I got medacine too, "worm medacine". Then just when I started to feel good she told me I had to go to the foundation's kennels, and wait my turn to be adopted. The food was good and I had a nice cell mate but it was not what I wanted. Somehow I got a nasty sore under my neck. By this time 3 months had passed or maybe a little more. I lost count. Yesterday the lady and her helpers took me out and another lady took me in her car to this place. Soon as I got here my foster Mom put me in the bath tub and gave me a treat "Capstar" . She said my fleas would die if I had any and I would feel better. She shampooed me 2 times! I don't like a bath. Yuk! I have to admit I felt better after she dried me in the big fluffy towel. :) She put medacine on my neck and it felt so good. Then she let me down in the house to play with my new friends. I had so much fun. I got my very own big bowl of food and a fresh clean bowl of water. Heidi taught me how to use the pet door! WOW! is that ever fun. hehehe I have a loose stool and Mom says it's from the well water out at the kennels or maybe cause I'm stressed. She's taking me to the vet this morning just to make sure I don't have a bad thing. :) I get to ride in the car with her and she promised me I will come back "home" with her. She told me about all the dogs she and Dad have rescued and helped. She told me about Missy and Bradley and that she and Dad continue rescue to honor their memories. That's nice but sad too. I like my yard, my friends, my crate with soft bedding to sleep in and I really like my Foster Mom and Dad. They take turns cuddling me. It feels so good to be loved. I hope my furever home will come along soon and I can be happy ever after. Now I gotta get ready to go to the vet. It's gonna be a good day. I just know it.
