Life with my Sister

Athena and I have been sisters now for a little over 3 months. I love having a sister to play with and jump around with. I've taught her some cool stuff, like that the trash can has really tasty treats, and I've even learned some things from her, like how to jump up on the kitchen counter and get a snack for myself. Sometimes she really annoys me, but most of the time we get along really well. I've had to learn to share my toys and share my time with Mommy & Daddy, but I guess it's okay since she keeps me company when they're not home and she helps me to calm down in the car.

A Sister!

Oh boy.......err actually a girl! I'm getting a sister! Mom & Dad finally decided that I am ready to have a sister to play with and talk to! Mommy and Daddy found a very nice little Rottweiler mix at a local shelter and are bringing her home tomorrow. We got to meet and walk a little bit yesterday at the shelter, but I was kinda scared cause I don't like the shelter. It scares me. The shelter calls my new sister Roxanne, but Mom & Dad said that she doesn't look like a Roxanne, so her new name is going to be Athena. I'm so excited for my sister to come home tomorrow! I hope she really really likes me and I really like her so we can be best friends.

2008 Walk for Animals

Mommy and I went to the park yesterday for the Walk for Animals to raise money for the animal shelter. Mommy and I collected $386, and we won third place for the most donations! I had so much fun meeting the other dogs and but I was kinda scared, but Mommy helped me to relax and I felt much better. I never knew dogs came in so many sizes!

In trouble

I got in trouble yesterday and had to go to timeout. Mom & Dad caught me taking a stuffed dog off of a dresser and tearing its head off. I thought I smelled something yummy inside, but I guess it was just stuffing. Oops.....

Kennel

I just got home yesterday, and I'm exhausted! Mom & Dad left me in a new place for several days and I was scared, but the people were nice to me, even when I got upset and shredded a curtain that was by my room. Oops. I had lots of fun though playing with all the other dogs! They took us out for walks together and I was so excited that I kept jumping over all the other dogs. I wish I could go play with all my new friends every day!

Doggie Party!

I went to Butter's Beach Bash on Saturday at Happy Dogs Daycare, and I had a great time! I'm still pretty shy around new dogs, but they were kind and took the time to introduce me to everyone, one at a time. Once I got to know everyone, I had a great time! We ran and played fetch and there was a doggie pool to play in and lots of doggie's to play with! I was so tired after playing, that I went home a slept the rest of the day. I can't wait till I get to go back next week!

New Bed

I got my new bed last Friday night, and I was so happy to have a nice comfortable bed to sleep in again, that I accidently got sick on it Saturday morning. Oops! But Mom wasn't mad, and she cleaned up the mess I madewhich didn't even leave a stain on my bed. I love my new Crypton bed!

Sick

I was sick over the weekend and threw up all over my bed. Now I only have blankets to lay on cause my Mom threw away my bed saying that it was too dirty to clean. I miss my bed and I howl at night now cause it's not the same without it. But Mom & Dad ordered me a new bed from Crypton, and it's supposed to come on Friday! Mom said that it's expensive, but it will be a lot easier to clean. I can't wait! I hope it's as comfy as my old bed.

Merry Christmas!

Yesterday, Santa Paws brought me lots of cool stuff! I got a set of Muttlucks, which make my feet feel funny, but I hope that they mean more walks. I got a busy buddy treat toy, which dispenses tasty little morsels when I roll it around, and a new toy that looks like a giant spring. My aunt also got me a stuffed dog toy, which is great for slobbering on and carrying around, and one of our Dog Scout troop members brought tennis balls and treats for everyone! I've never had a squeaky tennis ball before! What a great Christmas!

2007 Walk For Animals

Yesterday mom and I went to this great park with hundreds of other dogs! So many doggie's to sniff and say hello to. Even though I was a little scared, Mom said I did really good at saying hello politely to all the other dogs. Mom and I raised $342 to help my other friends who are still at the shelter, and altogether over $23,000 was raised! Even though it was really hot, we walked a mile to help out my dog friends who are still waiting for good homes. Mom says that she wishes they could all come live with us, but she say's that I'm already like a bull in a china shop, and we need a bigger house and yard before I can have a brother or a sister.
