Likes: Flashing lights, going for carrides, anything that involves water, going on walks, getting treats, eating anything that Mommy or Daddy drops on the floor, when the iguana tries to play with her, squeezing in between Mommy and Daddy in bed every night!
Pet-Peeves: Getting her ears cleaned, "time out", not being allowed to chew on everything, anytime we leave for 5 minutes and don't take her with us.
Favorite Toy: Mommy's flipflops, Daddy's tennis shoes, pink ball (the 2nd), squeaky Santa paws...but mostly anything edible like stuffed hooves, pig rolls, and knuckle bones (she tends to ruin everything else!)
Favorite Food: Cheese, marrow bones, treats, popcorn, and any people food!
Favorite Walk: She likes to go running with Mommy in the mornings (only 1 mile- then she's done!), and she LOVES to visit her grandparents where she can run around with the other dogs.
Best Tricks: She's very good at giving paw, "touch", and sitting. She also likes to "tell you" and stamp her foot when she wants something!
Arrival Story: We found Abby at a humane shelter in South Carolina. We had been looking for a dog for months, but weren't really interested in getting a puppy. But with one look at her scared, little face behind the cage, we fell in love!!! Unfortunately, Abby was sick, so we weren't allowed to bring her home from the shelter for a few weeks. Every weekend, we went to visit her, and I cried every time we left. Finally, she was able to come home with us, and she instantly became part of our family. Abby's been with us for over a year now, and I can't imagine our lives without her in it :)
Bio: She was found with the rest of her little in someone's backyard. I think rescuers confiscated the mother and entire litter. She was born around York, SC.

Mom and Dad took me to the dog park the other day for the first time...I was SO nervous when we first went in, all the other dogs ran over to say hi, and I was a little scared! But then I realized HOW FUN it was to run around and play with everyone! I had such a good time, I hope they take me there all the time so I can make lots of friends (as long as they don't mind when I chase them and sniff butts) :P Woof woof!
Mommy and Daddy have been telling me that we're going to move into a house soon...and it's finally happening! They also said we're going to move back up north to Ohio to be closer to all of my grandparents. I am SO excited, because this means that I'll have my OWN yard and a whole house to run around in!!! The only place we've ever lived is our apartment, and even though I'm very happy here (and pretty spoiled too!), I can't wait to have more room to run around and play. I also remember them telling me that once we move and get settled in our new home, we're going to find a brother or sister from the local shelter for me! I can't wait to have someone to play with all the time, especially when Mommy and Daddy are working, I hate being alone! Well, I guess this means that I'll have to make some new friends up here in this place called Lakewood, Ohio. Does this mean we're close to a lake?!?! I LOVE SWIMMING, and I hope Mom and Dad buy a boat next spring so they can take me on it too! I bet Mom will even buy me my own life jacket :P
Mommy and Daddy are so happy and excited about their new jobs and house, and I am too! Wonder how long until I can help find my sibling????? Until next time, Woof Woof!!!
I'm happy that Mommy put my picture on here so that I can start to meet lots of new friends! I really love being around other dogs, especially the two big Akitas from next door. I play really well with big doggies, maybe because I'm too playful for little ones, and I don't know how to control my excitement yet. Mommy and Daddy promised me that when we move into a house next year, we're going to find a friend for me to play with all the time! I think they want to find another doggie at a shelter like they found me, but I don't like thinking about that scary place! I have some "brothers and sisters" with me right now, but they're not allowed to play with me :( Mommy says this is because Oliver is a "hamster", Roxy is an "iguana", and Achilles and Hercules are "turtles". I don't know what those words mean, except that I can't play with them! I think Mommy should put up a picture of our whole family soon!!! Anyways, hopefully I make lots of friends soon, because I'm such a happy girl and I'm always willing to meet anyone. If there is anyone that lives around Matthews, NC, maybe we could even have a few play dates!! Uh oh, Mommy has to go to work soon...I promise that today when she leaves me I won't chew up her glasses again. She was not happy!
