I Used To Be Called Weasel

Life Goes On

Well, I haven't written in a while. A year ago Little Girl and I got out chasing a possum and we had a good old time. However, my best friend got run over and that is why we got Duke. Then, this past winter Princess, the little old weiner dog died so it was just us boys...until 2 days ago.

It has been nice and quiet - we were just laying around and mom brought home this little girl puppy. I wasn't sure about her at first. She laid down really still and me and Duke smelled her. She slept with mom and I didn't like that.

The next day after she followed me around the yard and kept licking my face I decided she was just too cute. The only thing I don't know about is sharing my couch with her. She's put a little spring back into my step!

The New Pup is Not So Bad After All...

Okay, well the new Pup (Duke), is not so bad after all. He is still annoying because he tears around the house with his baby ducky thingy, and he tries to jump on the couch whenever I want up there. But, he does try to play with me.

The other day he let me jump on his back and play with him. That was kind of fun! Then, he rolled over on the ground and he wrestled with me. FINALLY, another guy dog to waller with! I've had all these girly dogs around me. So, this is what it's like to be a guy dog. After 10 years now, I think I am finallylearning how to have fun! I chased Duke all around the pool and he let me jump on him again. This old guy still has it in him!

Last night Princess and Duke were on the love seat with Mom. Mom invited me up there too. Usually I don't like to get too close to the new pup. However, I went ahead and got up there and we all snuggled. It was nice. I think we are going to be buddies after all.

The New Pup is Annoying!

Well, we have a new pup (Duke) and he really is annoying. I didn't think he was here to stay, but I guess he is. Mom and Dad brought him home a week ago and, he is still here. He has been invading my space and he got really ugly when he was eating his food.

Now, rather than leaving the food out, Mom and Dad are feeding us a few times a day. I get hungry! I guess it is better than us getting in a fight. The new Pup is bigger than me, and I am just getting too old to put up with his antics.

He and Mom tear up and down the hall chasing some kind of little duck thingy. They scamper, up and down, and it is REALLY annoying! Duke has even gotten ugly with Princess (our dashound) who is 15 years old and nearly bitten her head off whenever we get treats. Mom got him in trouble though.

You know what else he does? He tries to get on the couch! That is a big NO NO! I know that. I only get to get on the couch on special occasions. AND, I don't like it whenever he snuggles with Dad.

I guess I sound like I am complaining. I am just not used to the new guy yet. He is such a big lug. I just had to get some of this stuff off of my chest. Hope you guys understand. Thanks for listening.
