Arrival Story:
Ruffles came to us as a poor little puppy. We took her Mom (Taffy) and litter mates to our house on a temporary basis to get them out of a bad situation. We agreed to keep them here until the puppies were adopted out. Well, Ruffles was sick, so we spent a lot of time nursing her back to health, so I had to keep her. I got too attached. And her mom and her lived with us the rest of their lives. I got attached to Taffy very quickly too. Ruffles and Taffy and Tipsy shared our big fenced in back yard for a long time, along with individual dog houses or one that was big enough for them all that we could heat in the cold weather. She had two litters of cockapoos (with Brady, my daughter's poodle) before we had them all neutered. Ruffles kind of ruled the roost in the back yard. We would hear her growl at her mom and Tipsy sometimes, but she sure loved her human family. She lived about 13 years, before we lost her. The doctor thought she had cancer pretty badly. I hope she didn't suffer too much.
