Arrival Story:
I went to the Animal Shelter in Bloomington IN looking for my missing friend, Trooper. The dog cages were full and I was being very careful to not make eye contact with ANY one. Well, the concrete floor had just been mopped, I slipped and kept myself from falling by grabbing a cage door...Yup, made eye contact. I found myself looking at one of the sweetest faces I have ever seen. I was transfixed, hooked and reeled in. I gladly handed over $20.00 and took him home with me. My sweetie met us at the door and said, "Um, That's not Trooper." Ya think?

Bio:
Teddy had never been in a house before and proved it within seconds of entering ours. UP on the dining room table, UP on the lamp tables, coffee table, all chairs and the couch in a frenzy of excitement that left me speechless and just a tad apprehensive! And that was calm compared to how he behaved outside. He would run so fast he would somersault and keep on going. And jump! Whoo! He could sail past you and take a bite out of the arm of your favourite sweater in a matter of seconds. Ted has mellowed considerably since moving to NY, although he does have his rambuctious moments. We just have to make sure we know he's coming! Teddy was a dear friend to our mom, Helen, who passed June 23rd, 2004. They loved each other very much, and he was never far from her side. That's mom's hand in the photo of Ted beside the couch. Ted walks with my father every morning and has many friends in the neighbourhood who look forward to seeing his wonderful face first thing in the morning! Everybody loves Ted! He is kind and good and sweet. He is the epitome of Unconditional Love and I am so very grateful that the floor of the Animal Shelter had just been mopped. Our Beloved Teddy passed January 2008. Words cannot express our pain, but I know he's hangin' with Mom.
