Well pups, today is the day that all the work that Dad and his friend have put into the Luv-A-Bully March and Pit Bull Awareness Day event is going to come to a head.
They have been working on these events since the beginning of January in hopes of the day being great! So, far everything is leading to that being the case. There are a few snags that will most likely need to be fixed today, but this is always the case... how often does anything happen without unforseen problems?
Please keep Dad and his friend in your thoughts to help them have a positive day today!

So, today Dad has spent quite a bit of time on the phone trying to apply for a small personal loan to take care of a few things he needs done.
Good news: He got approved for the loan.
Not so good news: The lender needs some info about a couple of things that showed up on Dad's credit report that were supposed to have been paid off already (like 5 years ago) that are not shown as being paid. One of the places was really cool and co-operative with Dad and they are going to type up a letter saying that he paid his bill and has a zero balance with them. The other place is saying that they have no record whatsoever of him paying off the debt (even though the place garnished Dad's wages to get their money....). Now Dad is stuck trying to go between the employer that he was working for at the time of the garnishment who says they cannot find any paperwork or anything to the effect and the other place that says he never paid it either.
Dad knows that he paid this because he was working his butt off to pay the garnishment off quickly (it was paid in like 2 months in full), but now there is no record anywhere... He tried calling the payroll company that they used, and they wouldn't give him any information either, even about his own payroll.
Why does it have to be so hard to try to better yourself?

GO, CUBS, GO (written/performed by Steve Goodman)
Baseball season's underway
Well you better get ready for a brand new day.
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.
They're singing ...
Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.
Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.
They got the power, they got the speed
To be the best in the National League
Well this is the year and Cubs are real
So come on down to Wrigley Field
We're singing now ...
Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.
Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.
Baseball time is here again
You can catch it all on WGN
So stamp you feet and clap your hands
Chicago Cubs got the greatest fans.
You're singing now ...
Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.
Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.

This last month has seen the passing of a few of our good pals...Delilah Faith, Dutchess, and today Samuel Jacob made his journey.
We certainly hope that things will be better for a while now, as bad things always seem to come in 3s...
"When the time comes"
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done?
For this, the last battle can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand,
But do not let grief stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had soo many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so...
When the time comes, please...let me go.
Take me to where my needs they'll tend
Only... stay with me until the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do for me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
from pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
who has to decide this thing to do;
we've been so close, we two, these years
don't let your heart hold any tears.

We just read that our little puppy pal Delilah passed away this afternoon after fighting soooo hard to stay with her family and all of us here.
Dad usually does not get to be very emotional, but this really hit him. She was just so young and such a fighter that it is hard to understand why bad things like this have to happen.
We applaud Lilah's Mom and family for taking in a puppy that was not wanted by her breeder and giving her the love, home, and attention that she truely deserved!
God speed, little Lilah...

Well.. so far this week, we have lost 2 of our furfriends...
Sunday our cousin Maddie the Greyhound had to go to The Bridge due to advanced bone cancer...
Today, Dad called his girlfriend on the way home from work and found out she had to help Callie (http://www.dogster.com/dogs/338192) make the journey to The Bridge last night.
This is not the way we had hoped that our new year would start at all....
Keeping Maddie and Callie in our thoughts...

This week, we were tagged by our pal Spuds and Beach Blanket Bob, the Bulldog!
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their chosen 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.
1. We are all thankful that we have our Dad who loves Pitties and would never let anyone take us away from him.
2. We are all thankful for the bones and toys that Dad gets for us to chew on.
3. We are all thankful for Dad' friends that all come over to see us and all love us like we are their own pups.
4.We are all thankful that someone was smart enough to know that us short haired dogs need a coat in the winter so we don't freeze our behinds off.
5. We are all thankful that Dad has bought us afore mentioned coats.
6. We are thankful for all of our supportive friends here on Dogster, this is the most Pittie friendly place we have been a part of!
7. We are all thankfull that Dad has a big enough truck that he can take all of us with him when he goes out for a drive.
We have chosen to tag:
1. Sammy J
2. Xena
3. Harley & Sasha
4. Moxie
5. Callie
6. Wallace
7. Miles
Have a grrrrreat Turkey pups!
