Arrival Story:
Our names are Harley & Electra.
Murphy was like our big brother dog that came to have his vacations at our house.
Us & our Mom loved Murphy very much.
Our Mom & Murphy's Mom are going to add to his stories.
Sadly, Murph crossed the Rainbow Bridge Dec 2, 2008.
He was surrounded by all the people who loved him.
Here is Murphy's story as told by his Mom....
Murphy came to us from the Humane Society of 100 Mile House, British Columbia, Canada.
We had just lost our dog, Grizzly & missed her badly so thought it would be a good idea to have another canine friend.
After several false starts, we finally met Murphy who was being looked after at a local kennel.
He had been found on the side of the road and had obviously been starving as he was literally skin & bones. The humane society figured he had come out of the bush and that he had been trying to survive there for a couple of months to be so thin.
We were looking for a smaller dog & one that did not have any difficult breeds mixed in....no pitbulls, rotties or Dobies.
They told us that he was Lab even though he looked a little strange, so we took him.
Actually we would have taken him anyway as he came right up to us...rolled over on his back so we could tickle his tummy, let us grab hold of the skin under his neck...in fact tried to lick us as we did so. All signs of a nice dog...definately not shy.
