 Quick Bio:
Likes: getting treats, cuddling, tummy rubs, ear tickles, car rides, grandparent's house, playing with Baxter

Pet-Peeves: being inside while other dogs are having fun outside, Baxter trying to steal his treats

Favorite Toy: mommy's pink bunny slippers!!!

Favorite Food: steak, salmon, chicken, kong stuff'n, carrots, meatballs, mcDonald's hamburger buns, GREEENIES

Favorite Walk: anywhere... (unless it's raining... he doesn't like getting his paws wet)

Best Tricks: roll over, left spin, right spin, dance, (double) high-five

Arrival Story: Mu-shu was an unexpected gift to his mommy. She had no previous dog experience, so it wasn't the easiest learning process. He was a trooper and was patient with mommy as she trained him to go potty outside, listen, and perform cute tricks. His mommy's parents didn't want a new pet, but they soon fell in love with his puppy antics and accepted him... even if there were a couple of replaced rugs and one chewed up tennis shoe. Now, his "grandparents" are delighted everytime he visits and never fail to prepare him a special plate of yummies for dinner. =)

Bio: Mu-shu enjoys lounging around most of the day while mommy is at work, but when mommy come home... it's tail wags and kisses. He loves meeting new people, childeren, and dogs (...even cats)!!! Even though he is not technically a puppy, he still has a lot of energy for an "older" guy. He enjoys playing with and bossing around his younger brother Baxter. It seems that you can "teach an old dog, new tricks"... he is responding very well to clicker training. He is also enrolled in agility classes and does quite well in them. Mu-shu is a laid-back,sweet, loving dog who is adored by everyone who meets him. His mommy is so blessed to have him in her life.

This week my parents agreed to watch their friend's boxer puppy... Callie. It was fun and interesting the first couple of days. I enjoyed playing with the new pup and Baxter, however it soon lost it's novelty. Callie is pretty big (55 lbs) and being a puppy a bit on the clumsy side... like Baxter. I'm not all into that ruff-and-tumble play. It's entertaining to watch, but I don't want to get all drooly and wet. I had a bath earlier this week. If I smell like stinky puppy breath, mommy won't let me sleep on the bed.
I get me special pampering time with mommy because Baxter and Callie usually leave me alone. The only time that they are distracted from their play by me is when I have a treat. Then, I'm everyone's center of attention. Baxter knows better than to steal it in front of me. Callie... it took a couple of times for her to get the Mu-shu Fury before she got the hint that I was no fluffy pushover.
Still, it's nice having a house guest. It changes things up and gives Baxter a chance to interact with a dog of his stature and energy level. Plus all that play means he doesn't wake up so early in the morning, and I get to sleep in. I know he would love to have Callie over again, but hopefully the next "visitor" will be more my size. =)

This morning was typical. Baxter (my little brother) woke me up with his perpetual whining. I can't help it if he has to sleep in the bathroom, whereas I'm allowed on the bed. I'm higher up on the barking chain... doesn't he realize that!?!? In life... it's all about respect. He has learned not to try and take my treats directly, but I found out last week that he's has "found" (and taken a few of my treats that I hid last week. My stash is no longer safe. *grrr* Don't step on my tail, dude!!!
Okay, off to put the other one in his place again. *sigh*
