Birthday Girlie!!

Yay...I will be 8 years old on Thursday. It's been so nice to live with people who love me so much and can deal with my insecurities. It is hard to forget the past sometimes but most of the time I can. Just some days it is hard and I get really jumpy and crabby. Life is good - I have the best doggie beds and yummy stuff to eat. I go for walks every day and get to lay outside in the sunshine.

Wow - a year has gone by already!

It is hard to believe a whole year has gone by and I am still in my new home. They love me here and treat me really well. I still get scared of loud noised like thunder or fireworks but I know that I am safe with my people. They are always making sure I am clean, have enough to eat and get enough kisses and hugs. Sometimes they hug me too much but I guess I can let them...it is not all bad.

My days are spent in comfort with a clean bed to sleep in and good food. I used to be outside all the time and I was cold and lonely. My barking was too much for my previous owners and they did not like it or me running away every day. I don't run away in my new house at all - it is too nice here.

I have new brothers too. My brother Miko just went to the rainbow bridge and we all miss him. He helped me settle into my new home because he showed me what to do and who to beg treats from. He was fun to play with too and always was nice to me. My other brother Suji can be a trial although I try and get along he snaps at me sometimes and I can't figure out why. He is testy but my owners watch out for me and put him to bed when he acts up. They want me to always feel safe.

I have a good life and am a lucky girl! Look at my photo's and see how much I have changed. I am a different color now and I have good muscles because I get to go for walks all the time. I didn't get a walk very much before so my legs were not very strong in some parts. Well, that's me - a lucky girl!
