Arrival Story:
*** UPDATE 03/15/08: Lucas found a family of his own! *** In July 2007, Lucas was found as a stray in central Illinois and his owners never came to claim him from animal control. A shelter volunteer contacted Catahoula Rescue Inc (www.catahoularescue.com) for help. Unfortunately, we didn't have any available foster homes and were worried that we'd be unable to help. Then a generous Catahoula lover donated money so that Lucas could be boarded until we found a foster or adoptive home.
Bio:
Lucas was boarded from Sept. 15-Nov. 2, 2007 because Catahoula Rescue - IL did not have any available foster homes. Being so young and active, he really needed more exercise and a chance to use his noggin with some training, such as obedience or agility. Now that he's in a foster home, he'll learn everything a good pup needs to find a forever family. We'll keep you posted! :)
