Arrival Story:
Harley was in the pet shop window sleeping in a cat playhouse. It was Christmas time so it was cold. He had a chihuahua on either side of him and one on top. It looked like he had placed them there for his comfort. Then in the room he took a toy that was twice as big as he was and held it up in the air and started squeaking it. It was love at first sight.

I didn't know there were other dachshunds in the world!

A couple of weeks ago I went to a dachshund meetup and met a whole bunch of dogs just like me. I liked them all. We had the meeting at a park and there were other kinds of dogs there. I didn't want them to crash my party so I chased them away... I also had to put some really big dogs in there place. I barked at them through the fence and they went away. I guess I scared them with my size. I am about 17 lbs. you know.
Mommy is supposed to take me to another meetup next weekend. I am really looking forward to it. I want to see my friends again. I just h0pe those other dogs aren't there to crash my party. I will be watching...
