She was my best gift ever. My husband and I have been without a dog for 3 years after having previously had 2 dogs for 14 years from puppyhood to grave. I desperately missed having a dog and we really wanted a Shiba Inu. Someone told my husband that they had a friend who had Shiba puppies that were ready to go just before Christmas so we got her on 12/22 last year and the rest is history. My only regret is not getting her brother too.

I like the winter, it is cold outside so I can run around for hours and hours with Bear and never get hot. I can come in and sit by the fire and sleep. I just cant lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They finally went and did it, my mom got me a brother 2 weeks ago. His name is Bear and he is 9 months old. He is a bit skinny at the moment and not very well- he has a nasty cough and eye infection. I think he is not very bright as he barks at himself in the bedroom mirror!!!!!!!!!!!! looks like I will have to share my folks now. But at least the cat likes him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
