Arrival Story:
We were looking for a rescue dog, but unfortunately the only dogs we could find at the shelters in Chicago were either more sick than we could take care of or were simply too big - i.e. goldens and labs etc. So we found Niki's photo in the Chicago Tribune and my wife and I raced to New Lenox to pick her up - we were told at least 3 other people were also on their way - we fell in love with her and wanted to be first! She has been a great addition to our family, even though my wife's cousins nick named her "Niki Licky" because she loves to lick :)
