Arrival Story:
Cinde was adopted by us when I was 5. She was 6 months old, was badly abused and had mange. She hated her crate, only because the people before never let her out. She did not know what stairs were or how to use them. My breeder took her away from that house and we got her. I never made her stay in a crate again. I have had whippets for 18 years now and it is all Thanks to her.

Bio:
Cinde was the best dog I could have ever asked for. She was loving and cared about everything that happened to me. We bred her when she was two and she had a litter of 9 puppies. Eight boys and One girl. We kept the girl, Lucy. They were together everyday. Cinde is Melba's Aunt, and her sister Gracie is Melba's Grandma. When Cinde got older she didn't want to do much but sleep and play every now and then. I couldn't blame her, she had arthritice, and was just getting old. On the day we had to put her down she had had a stroke when I got there. I layed her in bed and let her sleep for a while. I came back and took her outside to go potty but she could hardly stand on her own and just looked dazed. I layed her by the fire place and gave her some food but she just looked at me. She had had another stroke and couldn't move anything but her head. Then I knew.I didn't go to the vet with her when we had to put her down. She was about a week shy of her 15th birthday. I have never felt so bad about anything in my entire life, I won't forgive myself for it. I miss her every day and still cry about her. It has been four years since she left us and now she waits at the Rainbow Bridge. I know that this was long but Thank You for taking the time to read about Cinde. It means a lot to me that people know about her. I put her on Dogster so every day I can see her again, even if it is just a picture. "I miss the wagging little tail; I miss the plaintive, pleading wail; I miss the wistful, loving glance; I miss the circling welcome-dance. -Henry Willett (Cinde had the thumb print of god on her head, just like Melba. She was my first chosen one.)
