Arrival Story:
Zephyr came from the same place as I got Zuma. An incredible Xolitzcuintli-land in Eastern Washington.

Bio:
Both of Zephyr's parents, grand parents, and etc. family members are Xoloitzcuintli, or Xolo for short. "Show-Low-Eets-Queent-Li" The Xolo is an ancient breed from Mexico. This type of dog typically has no fur! It may have hair on it's head, like a mohawk and perhaps some on their tail or feet. The Aztecs used to keep these dogs for companions, and as their guide to the afterlife. Long ago they were also a source of food, but they have been kept as pets for a long long time now. The painters Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera had these dogs as pets and they often appeared in their paintings. The Xolo sometimes will have a puppy that has a full coat of fur. Zephyr came out with black hair, and Zuma has a beautiful orange and black coat. The color of the fur can be any color really, from black and white to brindle. They also come in different sizes, like poodles do. Zephyr is an intermediate size, Zuma is a standard. There is also a miniature xolo. These dogs have strong personalities and need an owner who is willing to invest alot of time in working with them. They are quite intelligent and can be mischievous at times!
