Birthday boy!

Guess what? I'm going to be 9 years old on the 11th of Jan. Mommie said I would have fun that day and a lot of surprises. I have to go see doc alot these days but I feel pretty good most of the time. I can still beat my sister Mollie out the door, heehee. Mommie doesn't get on here much cause she's on facebook alot . Im sorry that I miss out on hearing about my pals. She said she was going to try and do better. Bye Max

I'm Home!

I just wanted to say thank you for the prayers, they worked. I'm home and doing much better. Doc isn't sure what made me so sick, but they were all worried because of my heart condition. Mommie wandered if I might have eaten a mushroom in our yard? She and daddy have been doing clean up so I won't be tempted to taste any more just in case that was the problem. I sure missed mommie and daddy, and I even missed my mean lil sisters. I heard mommie's voice when she came to pick me up and I started crying and barking for her, the tech said she would hurry and get me so I could go home, yippee! I wanted to thank you all for my gifts also. When mommie reads about any of the lilttle doggies or kitties being sick, she always says a little prayer for them. Love to all my friends Max

Prayers Please

I told my mommie to write this for me. I'm in the hospital and I may be there for a day or two. I've been pretty sick so my pawrents took me to see doc today. I tested positive for pancreaitis and doc said if it wasn't treated early it could be life threatning. I am on IV's, antibiotics and whatever else it takes to make me well again. Mommie was really upset that I couldn't go home with her but she knows its for the best. I know if all my friends will say a little prayer for me that God will do the rest. Something creepy in my yard

Wow guess what I saw this morning! There was this green thing that was jumping around in MY yard and I was curious so I tried to catch it. Daddy was outside with me so he moved the rock it went under and I still wasn't able to get to it. Daddy was laughing and told mommie that it was a frog. Whats a frog? She told him not to let me get it and he said not to worry it was already in hiding. I was able to find a couple of birdies again this spring. I always manage to get at least one a year. Mommie doesn't like it at all, but it's what we do. It's been really hot here so I can't go out as often as I would like but I still go with daddy to post office every day. Mollie wanted to go so daddy took her instead of me one day but she didn't like to go so now it's just my job. I guess I will wish you all a great summer and stay cool.

Searching for my Treats

We got some of that white stuff this week . Mommie calls it snow but I sure don't like it. I hide my treats every day in my backyard and when I went out to get one I couldn't find them. I looked everywhere, I think Mollie took them. Mommie was taking pictures of us and laughing because I was having a hard time finding my treats. Mollie likes to play in that stuff but all I wanted to do was get my milkbone and go back inside where it was warm. I guess I will have to hide them in the house for awhile. I came in with snow all on my face and mommie had daddy hold me so she could get a picture. She takes pictures of the weirdest things. Oh well.

A Trip To Doc's

I had another appointment to see doc friday about my heart and lungs. He seems to think I'm doing ok except I need to lose a little weight. I had lost some but then I put on a little again. Mommie says she understands that completely. I guess I need to make a new year resolution to keep my manly figure in shape. My arthritis is acting up a little with this cold weather we're having, so I don't get to stay outside for very long. Daddy said to just be patient that summer would be here before I knew it. I hope all my pals are doing ok with the cold weather and snow.

Today is my eighth birthday

I turned 8 years old today. I finally caught up with my sisters , Megan and Mollie. If Dogster hadn't sent mommie an email she would have forgotten until much later. Mommie's sister died this week of cancer and she's been upset and busy. It's ok, I know mommie would have remembered sometime. She said we would celebrate a little later. I'm ok with that cause I know mommie loves me and I will get an extra chicken stick tonight when they come home from church. Daddy and mommie always gives us Gerber chicken sticks when they have been gone and come home again. They have done this for 7 years. We know where they keep the jars and go there when they come in and then run to the living room and jump on the sofa to wait. We have mommie trained very well. I will be soooooo glad when summer returns. I'm ready to go outside and lay in the sun and chase the birdies. Bye for now Max

Getting lean and Mean

I went back to see doc last week and he said I was doing better. The fluid around my heart is gone and I've lost a few ounces. He said my heart wouldn't have to work so hard if I was leaner. I thought I was lean, as you all know my sister Mollie is the plump one in our family. Mommie tells her she needs to chase after the animals like I do and she would slim down. . I chase birds, squirrels, opossums and I would chase the three turkeys that come around, but they don't come into MY yard. Our folks are going on a trip soon and we can't go. Our human sis is going to come over and stay with us. That should be fun. Wonder what she will think when it gets bed time and we all jump into bed with her? Another bump in the road

Daddy and mommie took me to see doc yesterday for my annual exam, shots(ouch!) and recheck of my heart and lungs. I also started limping on tuesday, so mommie just had to tell him about that, man she doesn't know when to be quiet. Well doc xrayed my heart and my back and legs. He told my people that I have some fluid around my heart and lungs and that he wanted to do something different with my meds. He told them that my hip bone that fits into that little socket doowicky has deteriated and I would need surgery in a few months. Poor mommie started to cry and doc told her to try not to worry but to just enjoy me and to let him do the worrying. He said the major thing is my heart and he was going to stay on top of it. Mommie told my grandma that everything seems to happen to me but thats ok I'm a big boy and I can handle it. Mommie is so worried about my heart but I told her not too, because I gave it to her years ago and she takes very good care of it. Mommie wants all my fur friends and their mommies to pray for me if they will. I'm so lucky to be on Dogster and to know that I will have lots of prayers going up for me. I'm just taking it easy today and plan to be out chasing the birds and squirrels tomorrow, heehee. Bye everyone I wuv you, Max

Max versus Monster

I tried to save my family from this big ugly monster last night. I went out to MY fenced in yard to do my business for the night and I saw this monster in MY yard. It had a long snout, hairy body and a long hairless tail. I think it kind of favored my sis Molly (heehee). I started barking to let everyone know that I would take care of things. I then proceeded to do just that. I went over and growled at it and it just curled up into a ball. I thought what the heck is this? I started barking like crazy and mommie ran out, she knows my bark for I'm in trouble now. When she ran out, I was chewing on its fur and trying to get it to leave and then mommie started screaming at me to come. I didn't want to come! I was just starting to have fun. Well she ran to me and grabbed me up, then put me into the house and got my daddy. They went back out and it was gone. Mommie told daddy that it was an opossum, a baby one. I don't care if it was a baby, it still had no business being in MY yard. Needless to say I didn't get to go out anymore that night. Daddy said they should check the yard at night before we go out. I'm not scared of any monsters, I can still take care of my family.
