Sigh, mommy set the date.

Well, looks like she's going to go through with it. I have to get neutered. My date is Aug 12th, I think it is a monday. Mom is off the few days after to take care of me. I begged her not to do it, and dad begged her not to do it, but she wont listen. She says its better for me in the long run. Dad wants to breed me just once, but mom says no way. Dad says we get pick of the litter, mom says we have 4 dogs already.

So I guess I get neutered, cause moms word is law. LOL.

Dog Days of Summer

Wow, so long between entries. I am sorry but mom is so busy. She works nights now and is in school, so her time is limited. When she gets a few minutes she plays with us instead of writing here, lol. Anyway, I am almost one year old. I am taller and longer then Reilly but I weigh less. Mom and Dad took us to PetsMart the other day and put us on the scale. Reilly was 103, I was only 99. Mom calls me skinnyminny. She bought new food for all of us to try to add some calories, wow was that a mistake. It made all our tummys upset and we all pooped in the house for about a week. Mom brought the food back to the store. We are all better now, lol.

Been a long time

Wow, I am almost 10 months old and I am getting big big big. I am still pretty thin and my mommy is trying hard to get some meat on my bones. I just like to play so much that I burn all the fat off, lol.

Summer is here in NC and it is hot. I dont much like being outside anymore and I come when called. Mom isnt sure if it's just cuz its hot or if I am really listening better. :)

Me and Reilly have wrestling matches in the house now, lol. Mom and dad have to rearrange the furniture after we are done, but they dont mind, hehehe.

Mom and dad are both better. Dad's leg is healing and mom is better after her stay in the hospital for 4 days for asthma and an infection. Things are getting back to normal now.

went to the vet

I went to the vet today. I weigh 92.2 pounds at 7.5 months old. I am 10 pounds lighter then Reilly is now, lol.

I was bad at the vet. Mom thinks I dont like men. The Dr who came in to see me was male and I freaked out, well, I wouldn't go near him and I was shaking and panting. This is not normal behavior for me. Mom thought that I was just nervous because of all the commotion with my daddy being in the hospital that that's why I didnt take to anyone in the house. But my mommys sister was here the past few days and I loved her. Mom really thinks I just dont like men.

Anyway, I got a clean bill of health. I am right on target for my weight and my ears were clean.

ZOMG prayers please.

On Monday March 17th my dad had a training accident. He was jumping out of airplanes, I know I know, but he is army and that;s what they do. anyways he landed in a tree and then fell 30 feet when the branches broke.

He dislocated his knee and cut off blood flow to his foot for 7 hours before he could get to a hospital that could do the surgery to try to get blood to his foot. He also tore all 4 ligaments in his knee.

He's out of ICU now and doing OK, but I miss my daddy and want him to get better and come home.

6.5 months old.

Mom and dad took me to PetsMart yesterday and I got on the scale. I weighted in at 87.5 pounds. I am taller then Reilly but I am so skinny. I also got to go to the lake for the first time. I love water and I played and played. I chased sticks, and pinecones and went under the water and run and run and run. I had so much fun I can't wait to go back.

I graduated school

How? I have no idea but I got my certificate last night. We had to run an obsticle course and they asked for volunteers and my mommy jumped up. I am nervous especially since we didnt go to class last week.....

We started at the beginning and did all the stations. I was able to sit, down, spin, stand and come. I am still having issuses with stay. But meh, I still passed and I am getting better every day.

Mommy was very proud and every one said I did real good :D

I'm just glad it's all over. Mom asked about CGC and every agreed that I am not ready hehehe.

2 more classes then I can say...

I have officially failed obedience class, lol.

Mom has been trying though. I'll give her that. The teacher lady told mom to 'make' me sit. LOLOLOL yeah right. It's not that I'm a hyper active or overly rambunctious dog. In fact I am just the opposite. I am cool calm and collected. So mom isn't worried about me failing out. In fact she could care less. She did try to teach me 'shake' today and if she had a good enough treat in her hand I would maybe kinda sorta think about doing it.

Mom would skip the last 2 classes all together but after all she paid money to go so we might as well go and finish it up.

I did do something really cool the other day. I jumped off the deck for the first time all by myself.

woohoo i am 80 pounds of fluff, lol

a friend of my mommy's told her the other day that Reilly would be the bigger dog, ummm yeah right. my mommy even said no way, sampson will be huge. And she is right. I will 6 months old in 2 days and today at PetsMart I weighted 79.9 pounds.

I can't wait til my daddy comes home from Kenya and sees how big I am getting. LOL, they say at 6 months you are about half your full grown weight...

ummm 80+80 is 160 pounds!!!!! woohooo!!

I'm almost 6 months old

and I'm getting big big big. Mommy is now noticing a change in my personality. She was told that around 6 months I would be more rambunctious and energetic. Well, I am getting that way now. The last few days I have been more jumpy and bouncy and biting more. Mommy put me on the bed this morning with her to sleep for about 2 hours, well, I was good till I decided that it was time to get up. I was biting mommy. I wasn't being mean about it, just playing but mommy still says its a no no. I already don't listen very well so she was getting perturbed with me and eventually grabbed my muzzle and laid across me to make me stop.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be a quiet dog or slightly nuts like Reilly. I was standing out on the deck last night barking, which is something I don't really do.

Oh the fun of adolescence.
