God watch over Mikito

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did not get my baby back. I am just getting past it and have moved to Houston, TX this week. I will keep in contact with the detective for any leads and information until the case is closed. I am thinking about adopting a girl after I get settled. Please pray for me.

Still looking...

I spoke with the detective yesterday and they believe they know the guys that broke into my apartment. Apparently one of them has been apprehended. The detective believes it to be these guys because the m.o. (mode of operation) is the same. The guys had been breaking in and taking flat screen televisions. My belief is that Mikito started barking (he is alway so excited when people come over) and they picked him up and took him instead to make a couple hundred dollars. I am still praying that someone sees him or that he is brought in to a vet, shelter, humane society, or the Maryland SPCA and returned home. Please keep him in your prayers more than anything I just pray he is safe and being cared for properly.

THANK YOU

Today is the first day that I have cried from anything other than sadness. I have posted flyers, talked with the shelters and humane societys, checked the local papers, and posted notices on everything I possibly think. I am completely overwhelmed with the blessing and prayers that I have received. I am tired (today has been a long day) but I did want to say thank you to everyone - since today I may not be able to do so individually. The officer (who has two dogs at home) that is taking this very seriously, the detective that checks in with me daily, friends and family who have had an open ear and more patience that I imagined possible, Sturbridge Farm (PA Breeders), my friends on Dogster & Yorkie Talk, and everyone on cyberspace. I will be updating the diary to keep everyone up to date.

Mikito was stolen

On Tuesday November 27th Mikito was stolen from my apartment. Please say a prayer that he is returned home safely! If you live in the Baltimore area please keep your ears and eyes open for me.

Sick

ok, so my Mommy is sick and I don't like it. I like that she is home with me but I was very scared when she was throwing up yesterday. I cried a little because I didn't know what that big scary noise was that she was making. I didn't leave her though - I just stayed by her side. Today she is feeling a little better so we went on our hour walk this afternoon. I don't think we will go on our other walk after dinner though. Its ok by me - I have a new pillow to fight with and its been A LOT OF FUN!! Plus Mommy ordered a new carrier for me and it came in the mail yesterday so I am kind of glad she was home. I have a new picture up with me in it - check it out!!

2 Weeks!!

Wow, it has been 2 weeks since I have come home and it seems like so much longer. I have been learning and seeing so much. I had to go back to the vet this week because when I pooped it was very slimy and Mommy was concerned that it was because something was wrong. Everything turned out great though. I gained weight since our last appointment and I am now 3 whole pounds!!! I have to take medicine and I got some special food from the vet to help my stomach settle down. The medicine is ok but I REALLY like the vet food. Mommy mixes it with my own food and I am back to my normal self. I can't wait until I am old enough to go on play dates but for now its just me and Mommy and all the people we meet on our walks. It hasn't gotten cold yet (its October in Maryland and it hasn't dropped below 75 degress really) but as soon as it does there will be new pictures with lots of new outfits!!

My first Vet appointment

The first week and we made it! I am getting used to my new home more and more every day. We get up very early and go for long walks and after dinner we go on another long walk - so I have been sleeping well at night. I also really like playing with my toys before we go to bed. I had my first vet's appointment today and I got a shot. I didn't cry or whine or anything. Mommy was so proud of me! It is starting to get chilly so Mommy is going to get me some sweaters to keep warm because I was shivering a little today. We are going to have lots of fun out tomorrow!! I should have lots of new pictures soon...

Wheeeewwwww

Wheeewwwww, my first full day home is over. I am so excited! We were up early and went for a walk then we played and relaxed until lunch. I can go up stairs very well...though I am still a little nervous about going down stairs that are close together and look steep going down. I like being outside there are so many things to see and people to meet!! I like to stop to talk to everyone that I see. On our afternoon stroll I met a new friend, a Lab, named Abigal. Life outside the farm looks like it may be very fun. I give lots of kisses to Mommy but I still miss my sister and when I drift off to sleep I wake up just to make sure that Mommy is still here. I thought she left me alone earlier today and I cried for a few minutes but then I was ok. After she came out of the room she told me she was very proud of me. We went on a very long walk after dinner and I am so tired. I like to stretch all the way out when I sleep and I think it is about that time...*yawn*

Home!!

I am finally home and it is so excited and scary at the same time. I am sad that I am not with my sister and out running on the farm so sometimes I cry. However, I am having fun. I like being outside here and at first I didn't like the steps or curbs but now I can jump down and up on them!! There are still some that I know are too high for me to get onto but thats ok, Mommy helps me. I also like all of my new toys. Mommy is happy I am here but wishes I wouldn't sleep so much. :o) She has been waiting so long to see me. I DO NOT like my crate very much but last night I slept almost all night without crying to get out. We got up very early this morning, 4am to go out so I could "do my business" but today has been much better than yesterday already. Mommy had breakfast and then so did I. After breakfast we went on a walk and I got special treats for being such a good boy!! I am tired from all the excitement though, so off to take a nap again!!

The countdown...

Ok, so I have been so excited all week. 3 days until Saturday. 3 days until Mikito is home forever. I don't know what to do with myself. I have been in every pet and/or dog store I can find. I feel like I am going to forget something very important. I have one last thing to do to finish puppy proofing the house. AUGGHHHH!!! (my Charlie Brown scream) Who knew these last few days would drag out so long? the two hour car ride is going to be nerve wrecking...oh well at least by the next update he will be home for good!!!
