Arrival Story:
Cosmos lost his home because he did not get along with the male Rottweiler of his owner's new girlfriend. Cosmos was originally listed as a Pit Bull at the shelter but we could tell right away he was "different", both in looks and in personality. After some research we came to the conclusion that Cosmos is a rare breed called "CATAHOULA BULLDOG".

Please DO NOT apply for Cosmos if: - You live in a town with BSL (Most breed specific legislation target any dog that looks like Pit bulls. While Cosmos may not be a Pit Bull, he looks like one, and this is what he was originally listed as at the shelter. He would therefore most likely be included in BSL). - If you would like a dog that can stay outside unattended - Cosmos is an escape artiste and can even climb 6 foot privacy fences if left outside unsupervised. - If you have other male dogs - Cosmos is too dominant with other dogs to do well in a home with another rival male. Cosmos can live with female dogs but he is very strong and likes to play rough. He may not be the best dog to bring in a home with an elderly dog. - If you want a dog you can take to parks, camping, country, etc, and let run loose.
