Arrival Story:
We went to an applefest in Elijay, GA to look at some crafts. While we were walking around our friends bought ice cream and wanted to sit down and eat it. Where did they sit but right in front of the dog adoption area. Well, the next thing I know Copper comes over and lays down next to me. "*Danger Alert* Anyone that thinks they aren't going home with a dog after spending more than 5 minutes next to an adoption center is either a) a dog bite victim b) a cat or c) a serial killer. *End of Alert* (that line from Bo's book on my adoption)." I fell in love with her and made a deal with my husband that if nobody adopted her (we weren't really looking) in three weeks we would get her. I think I made it two weeks and then we were headed north to go pick up our new family member.

Bio:
Copper was named after the mountain that she was found on. Someone had left her on Copper mountain when she six months old. Luckily, a foster mom found her and kept her until we adopted her. She is a purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback without the ridge. We think someone might have left her because without the ridge she wasn't worth anything to them. Their loss is our gain because she is the sweetest dog you could find.
