Arrival Story:
I got Kiera from a breeder in South Dakota. She was supposed to come home at about 6 weeks old, but every time we tried to book the flight, it was too cold. The airline wouldn't fly dogs when it was below freezing. We kept trying, but after 4 or 5 cancelled flights and her getting older, we finally decided to rent a car and drive from New Jersey to South Dakota to go get her. Of course, it snowed the whole way out and most of the way back. We did the trip over a weekend, driving straight through, staying in a hotel for the night, getting Kiera and then driving all the way back home.
