Connor has crossed to Rainbow Bridge

Our Little Big Man Conchobar Mac Nessa, King of my heart, left us and crossed to Rainbow Bridge on December 25th, 2011 at 8:45 in the morning. He was 12 years and 10 months old. He lived as long as his kidneys could support his tiny body. He crossed quickly and without a lingering painful death which we are grateful for. He now sleeps in a soft bed beside a warm fire next to his MacKenzie Girl and fur sisters Cuailgne and Lindsay. We will miss his voice in the middle of the night and how he would put his little paw on our knee to ask for a snack. Marley, his arch enemy from up the street will now get a free pass on our side walk. Our neighbors will hear a quieter porch. His best friends Rani, Kylie, and his fur sister Kenny, mourn his passing, and like his human care givers will honor his memory forever.The world will be a little less bright without him. Our hearts will always hold our King Connor dear.

The pumpkin patch

Mom planted pumpkins in the spring and now they are taking over MY yard! I can't charge the fence and bark at our neighbors, or bark at Marley from up the street when he dares to walk by my sidewalk with his human. Ya know, if I didn't know better, I'd think mom was trying to keep me away from the fence. But why would she do that? Hmmmmmm.

I love my new Cool Bed II

Wow! I'm sleeping every night in my new Cool Bed II. It was pretty hot the other night so I was glad to have a place to go to cool off. So if any of you pups out there are looking for a way to keep cool this summer, I'd suggest giving Cool Bed II a try.And my mom also got me a little fan so I could have some air blowing right over me. I love that, let me tell you! So I have a pretty nice sleeping area in my little place next to the book case. Of course, I can always hop up onto the THE BIG BED whenever I want. I like to be up there by my dad's feet when there's a thunder storm. xoxoxo

My new Cool Bed III

It's getting warmer here and the summer weather is still to come. The other day it was 92 degrees and I was panting. My mom saw that and she decided to get me a Cool Bed III to try out. It came today and my mom and dad filled it up and put it over a towel (our hardwood floors are unfinished)and then put a nice cuddly blanket over it. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll keep you all posted on how it's going.

Porch Patrol

Some shots include my neighbor in her noisy red car, Marley my arch enemy, birds, squirrels, kids and people on bikes (kids faces have been modified to protect their identity) and other dogs going by and doin' stuff they shouldn't!

I got a bluejay!

Oh my gosh! I don't know how it happened, but I got a bluejay bird! My mom put me out on my porch for awhile and when she came to let me back in about 10 minutes later, she found me with my prize. I had feathers and gross stuff in my fur! She wasn't very happy, but I sure was! It is my birthday after all!

New Pet Steps

My mom bought me some steps to help me get up onto my leather couch that I love so much. I've been getting up by running and jumping. She says she's worried that as I get older that all that stress may damage my joints. I've been practicing and I think I have the hang of it now. She been trying to get a photo of me using them, but I've been running away before she can get the shot off, ha ha! Anyway, if she gets one she says she'll put it up on my page.

Good Bye To Our Good Girl Cuailgne

My family has had to come together and be strong for our Good Girl Cuailgne. On January 20th, 2009 Cuailgne passed away. Our best friend was 14 and half years old. Her kidneys were in the final stages of failure and while she was unaware of this and not in any pain, the signs were there. If her humans did not act quickly she would very soon become aware and be in great pain. Her humans decided against heroic measures that would seperate her from her home, her humans and her fur siblings. In the end she was at home, surrounded by her family, eating her very favorite foods smoked salmon, turkey and why not, some chocolate (NEVER give your dog chocolate!). She passed away unafraid and blissfully happy. I, Conchobar Mac Nessa mourned her loss as did her humans. We think of her every day. We miss her everyday. We thank her every day for the wonderful life she shared with all of us. Her humans, most of all, thank her for making them better humans. xoxoxo
