Arrival Story:
**TUCKER HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND NOW IS WITH HIS NEW LOVING FAMILY WHERE HE WILL BE SPOILED AND LOVED** Tucker was a stray dog that was turned into Olympia Animal Services with his buddy, a female German Shepherd. We are fostering Tucker through Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue. He's been living with us since September 22nd and we are helping him look for his forever home. He does well indoors and is excellent on leash and on outdoor walks. He is a little timid and shy but warms up quickly to strangers and new situations. He needs a family who has time to do training and beginning obedience with him to help build his confidence. He would benefit from a family who can provide structure in his life, and is familiar with Australian Cattle Dogs. He gets along well with other dogs and needs supervision around cats until he gets to know them, as he sometimes has the instinct to chase. He listens extremely well and has learned Sit, Down, Wait and Shake. Tucker loves to be petted and generally stays right near his people. He loves being at the beach or open fields and often will get the "zoomies" because he is so happy. He rides well in the car and at night his crate is his beloved safe spot. Tucker might enjoy doing a dog sport, such as agility or rally obedience. He would make a really great walking buddy! We would prefer that Tucker does not go to a home with children under 6 as he's still learning what humans expect of him. Tucker has been given a vet exam and is up to date on his rabies vaccination. He has been recently micro-chipped and treated with flea and tick medication.
