Arrival Story:
My husband rescued a pug-corky puppy about a year ago that had been abused bad. Even with kindness and alot of love he (Fletch) never stopped mouthing our hands when we go to pet him. I am a kisser and he although sweet, would rather not. Anyway, the nite before I found Sky, I told my husband," I wish I had a dog that liked to be loved on." The very next morning as I went out to check on our farm kittens, there she was. A dirty,sickly mangy looking dog, just sitting there shivering looking back at me. I went out alittle bit scared of her. But when our eyes locked,my brown to her sky blue, I knew I would do my best to help her. I could tell she hadn't had a friend in a long time or a meal. She is very humble at any kindness she is shown. The problem is, I live on a farm and can afford to feed her. But I can't afford a vet. Unless one would take payments. All I have called said pretty much no cash no help. I thing she has a staff infection and a wound on her back that's about 90% healed. Looks like she may have been hit by a car about a month ago. She has lost all the fur on her feet and it seems thin every where else on her. Anyone have ideas to help me help her? I would love to keep her. But if someone else can afford meds and would give her a loving home I would be happy to back away and just love her from afar.
