Dixie is just now at the comfort level where she'll jump on the couch to chill like the other dogs. A few months ago she decided she could get hyper and bark at me. This is a good sign. :)
Arrival Story:
Dixie was my first rescue "foster". She was so scared, she'd throw up from being nervous. When I first brought her home, she wouldn't come out of her crate. Even though she should have had a quarentine period, I brought Teddy in see if she'd come out if she saw another dog. Right away, Teddy went in the crate, turned around and came out, with Dixie following. They've been best friends ever since.
Bio:
Dixie was rescued by Laura Fox Meachen. Laura got me interested, gave me advice, let me "foster" Dixie, and because she took the time to teach me, roughly four dozen dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens have new lives after passing through my house.
