 Birthday: June 5th 2004
 Likes: visiting Chassis

Pet-Peeves: Squirrels, Garbage trucks

Favorite Toy: Chassis' tennis balls, toes, fingers, strings on the rug, etc. Anything my grandma and mom tries to take away from me - like the stick in the sliding glass door.

Favorite Food: Lamb & Rice - and anything my big sis Chassis drops.

Favorite Walk: I like car rides better than walks - but hey if it leads to the dog park - let's go!

Best Tricks: I've now learned to give "High 5" and do the touchdown dance. The instructors say I'm so smart for my age.

Arrival Story: Our first puppy died but did want to continue with a rescue puppy so searched. Mom fell in love with my sister Abigail - but got voted out by Dad and my 2-legged sister. I'm trying real hard to turn Mom around.

Bio: I'm so cute - everyone falls in love with me. They at first think I'm a golden but then realize I'm too short. Then they see my rear end and realize I'm an Australian Shepherd. I love to herd the cat and other playmates.

On Sunday, April 29th, my grandparent's city Satellite Beach had a Doggy Olympics. It was the 2nd year for the Olympics but my first time to go. What a blast! Every station I went to people gave me treats - and for things I usually do for free! The weirdest one was the hot dog relay. They waved a hot dog in front of me then dropped about 100 feet in front of me. They thought I would fetch it and bring it back. The other dogs ran up and ate theirs. Not me...as I got closer I realized they dropped it in a kiddie pool of water. Hey I'm no dummy - the kidie pool at home is what I usually get my bath - so I put the brakes on. Don't want that hot dog that bad!
But I did redeem myself - I got a silver medal (2nd place) for my best trick "Touchdown." But the real prize was my gold (1st place medal). It was called the Home Run Derby. My grandpa and I had had to run to first base on the baseball field and do a "sit" (not a problem for me!). Then on to 2nd base and to a "lay down" and then on to 3rd base for another "sit" and finally a jog to home. Well....my grandpa is sooooo competitive that he outran me and dragged me through the bases...never gave me the change to sit - and at second he got so excited he rolled me over. Anyway he was so excited and the crowds were roaring. Hey - if it makes him happy????
But my first place award was a watercolor print of a former local landmark - Mather's Bridge that my grandparents used to go to. They loved it. They ended up paying over $250 just to get it framed.
So our family had so much fun for a $5 entry fee. I was so tired and full of treats that I fell asleep. I have to post a picture of me with my medals on - looks like I'm so proud of myself.
Can't wait until next year!

I've posted a new picture of me and my sister Chassis taken for the Xmas 2006 cards. They drove us to a park to get this picture. Man - I had a hard time staying still - so many things to see and sniff - and places to run and play. I"m now 2 1/2 and my big sister is 10. She's really slowing down but she trys so hard to stay up with me. Sometimes when I'm playing with her - she falls over asleep. I seem to wear her out!
My mom put a new bandana on me today - it says "Bark if You're Irish." Doesn't she remember the word "Australian" - like it doesn't say Irish. Oh well she thinks I look cute.
I'm really excited - they starting a new group for Aussivers (Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix) - I have a name! YEAH1
Well that all I have for now - have to go chase the cat . She's starting to irritate me - sitting on the sofa.
Gotta go

Hi - my name is Lucy and I'm now about 1 1/2 yrs - I live with my mom at College with her 2 roommates. Of course I do all the neat college things - they've taught me how to do "touchdown" everytime UCF wins (and they're winning a lot right now.)
My mommy called my grandmommy to tell her I needed puppy therapy to get through my trauma. Well....like I said I live with 3 college girls and I've had a habit in the past of being a chewer - so I'm not really allowed in the other girls rooms. So Miss T. (whom I love dearly and taught her how to love dogs too!) was in her room with the door open. So I casually tip toed in for a visit. She was on her computer and I came up to lean into her for a hug. Somehow I got wrapped up in her curling iron - scared me to death so I started to run out...and that dang thing chased me. Then it hit the door and made an even louder bang. Dropped me to my knees. So then I lept across the hall to my moms room - with that thing still chasing me all the time. Then it's gnarley tail got caught in the next door - banged again...and jerked me backwards. With one powerful leap I jumped into mom's bed and curled up underneath her. No one could even coax me out of that bed even with my favorite treats.
I don't know what the heck that thing was - but it's a monster. I won't even walk down the hall anymore. I act really tough but really I'm quite timid and that just wore me out! It's tough trying to protect those girls.
I'll update again as soon as my heart stops racing!
Love ya-
Lucy
