We got him from an amish farm. My daughter wanted a dog. Who am I kidding, I wanted a dog too. We really didn't have any specific ideas in mind. I am a believer that the dog picks you. We had checked out the spca and a few rescue places, but none of them interested my daughter. We were driving somewhere when we saw a sign for puppies for sale. We figured we would check it out not really expecting to find "the one." There was a litter of the cutest little mixed miniature pinscher/fox terrier pups! All of them had just slightly different mixes of tan and black coloring. My daughter picked Buddy right away. We played with all of them for a while, but Buddy was it. My daughter named him too. From that day he truly had been our "buddy". My daughter was young so I, Mom, took over most of the puppy care and training. Buddy bonded to me right away. He was always a little nervous, and he stuck by my side like a child clinging to a mothers leg. Bio: Buddy is actually half Miniature Pinscher and half Fox Terrier. He is a very springy, muscular, handsome man as I like to call him! He can jump up to my 5' 4" shoulder! Buddy was a nightmare to house train! It really took me 2 years to fully train him. Now at 5 years old he is a bit quirky, but just an angel. He is always by my side whether on the coach, in bed, or in the car. He LOVES to go anywhere with us in the car!
