Birthday: September 1st 2004 Arrival Story: As you can see from these photos, Charlie is quite the cutie-pie. This 3-year-old boy has an equally adorable personality. He is very laid-back and loves nothing more than to just hang out with his family. Charlie is a real cuddler and loves to curl up next to his person and watch TV. He is an absolute doll. Charlie is also housetrained and neutered. You really couldn't ask for a more wonderful little companion to share your life with. Unfortunately, the former family who sang Charlie's praises was also the family who gave him up. Apparently, a recent remarriage brought a new husband into the mix - a person who doesn't like dogs and doesn't think they should be in the house. The simple solution would have been to show new hubby the door, but, as is most often the case, Charlie was given his walking papers instead. Yet another example of a great dog who was completely devoted to his family, very well-behaved and who found himself homeless through no fault of his own. It's a sad situation that we see time and time again. After suffering the indignity of being ousted from the only family he has ever known, it is high time that Charlie find a family who is ready, willing and able to make a commitment to him for the rest of his life. Charlie seems to be an old soul in a young dog's body, so a calm home environment where someone is at home much of the time would suit him to a T. Charlie basically just wants to love and be loved back. He has complete devotion to give that special person who is worthy of his trust. Our adoption fee is $175, which covers the cost of Charlie's shots, worming and heartworm test. Keep in mind that Charlie's lovely fur will need a periodic, professional groom to keep it healthy and beautiful. He is 3 yrs old, gets along with other dogs, is housetrained, and is crate trained. I think he would get along with cats too, but have not had him meet our cats yet (we just got him yesterday). I will update this when we have him meet our cats. He is also very good with kids, and weighs about 15lbs.
