Arrival Story: Today still very heartbroken over the death of our sweet Bradley, I went to animal control to rescue yet another Boston Terrier. When I got there I found out he had been adopted!. I could not as a animal rescue volunteer go there and not save one. I asked if Jasmine was still there and could I see her. She was so scared but very friendly. Her story broke my already aching heart. She had been adopted from there and later returned because "she chewed things"! She is young and no doubt still getting her teeth. When she came to meet me I was told she had been spayed and she was house trained. Wow! That's like Bradley.... everything done already. Just need to fatten her up and show her she is special and is loved. Teach her she deserves to live and be happy. This is surely a guidance from Bradley I have experienced today. Thank you my sweet boy. On the one week anniversary of your death.

Bio: Jasmine is now in the hands of ARF of LA/Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana. She will be in quarantine for 2 wks. and then tested for heart worms and wormed. She will have all the vaccinations she needs and get lots of love as well as good food, clean water and a soft bed to sleep in. She will have others to play with when she is able and she will know kindness.

Jasmine has her Furever home. It's all legal now, and she begins her life with her Real Family. She will have all her needs met with love and devotion by her family. She will not be left at the pound if she chews something she should not. She will not be returned or abandoned if she has a potty accident inside. She will not have an illness that is not cared for, or just face daily, neglect so many others live with every day of their lives. Good for you Jasmine. It has been my pleasure to see you through the transition from shelter, to home at last. I will miss you, and Heidi misses you very much. Soon she will have a new homeless friend to play with, and maybe someday, she too will have her Furever home. Have a good life Jasmine.

Heard from Jasmine's new Mom. She is doing well and gets along well with her other dog. They play and seem happy together. She did however want to wait until the end of the week to make the adoption final. I like that idea. It means they are going to be sure she is what they feel they are wanting in a pet. That means it is less likely she will be returned to rescue. Jasmine had been returned once because she chewed a phone line and that is very stressful for an animal to have to change homes. So we will wait and see. I miss Jasmine. Heidi misses her very much. :(

Today Jasmine went to PetSmart with Doogie and Rose. A nice couple just fell in love with her. They have a yard with a tall fence and a dog who needs a friend. They cuddled Jasmine and she just loved it. She stayed in their arms and only gave me one "Good-Bye Mom. Thanks for the help. I love you." kind of look when they walked away with her. She will be happy and loved I know. She is on a one week trial. If she does not ajust or get along with the dog they have, she will come back with us. I think it will work out and she will fit in fine. I will miss her and Heidi will miss her very much I know. They were big play pals. I will miss Jasmine very much but I am happy for her. Being a foster parent is not easy. When it works out as planned the sweet dog you worked to help gets a good home and get empty arms and an aching heart. But then you also have the knowledge that you saved a life and had a part in a happy future.
