Dog of the Day!

Sorry - Haven't written for a long time - we've been super busy!

But wow, what an honor to be Dog of the Day! Hooray! Don't worry, I'll remember all the little people (and dogs) that I've met along the way.
I'd like to thank my Mom, and my doggie family, my Dad, Dogster, my Dogster Pals, and....

Thanks again Dogster!

02/08: We went back to Fenwick for an hour of fetch. Rupert and I alternate fetches, and Vista chases me!

02/09: We spent 2.5 hours a the Golf Course! We ran into ALL our friends there!! We ran around SOO much and had a blast! We even played ball! It was super. After we went home and Mom went to the doctors. I hope she didn't get muzzled for shots!

02/10: Daddy did it again! He brought us to Beverly Nature Preserve in the morning for 1 hour and 15 minutes! It was really cool for daddy to spend that time with us.. we loved it. Mom came home from work and we played in the house for hours. She is tired though.. I love my poor Mommy.

02/11: Today Daddy walked us in the morning for 45 minutes, let us play off leash at the park for 25 minutes, and played with us at home and in the yard for 30 minutes. It was great. Rupert has class tonight, and we might go on the treadmill.. Mom just wants to nap now.

Wow, Daddy took us for a hike by himself!

YESTERDAY: So we don't exactly respect or listen to Daddy all that much =) .. and since Mom had to work, Daddy offered to take us for a hike by himself - which Mom said was a GREAT idea because it'll help our relationship. Mom gave Dad all the directions and information he needed for our hike, and off we went. We went to the Beverly Nature Preserve for 1 hour and 20 minutes.. It was so much fun, and was even better because it meant we were ok to relax for a little while until Mom got home. Dad took care of us, too! Once Mom got home, she took us to Weir Hill to meet up with Shale and her Mom. We hiked there for 2 hours and 15 minutes. We had such a blast. It really was an awesome day. We met a handsome boxer with cropped ears, and a beefy build - named King. He was soo silly!

Mom hasn't been feeling well, and is super tired.. but we really appreciate all the exercise!! Thanks Mom!!

Today we played ball for 1 hour at Fenwick, and played with tons of other dogs that were there. Then we hung out for 2.5 hours at our friend Chase's house. This is the night Mommy told us.. She's pregnant. I don't know what that means, but she sounded kinda happy. So I'm happy too I guess!

Poor Mommy isn't feeling well

Today we were supposed to go out and do funfunfun things since it was Mom's day off.. but Mom almost passed out outside, so I told her to take it easy.

So this morning we played in the house, and played in the yard for 1 hour. Rupert was doing zoomies all goofy and stuff! Super funny. I tried to snatch him in the midst of zooming.. Mommy didn't like that too much. We also go stuffed kongs and we're going to do 20 minute training sessions with the food from our dinner.. fun!

I also wrote a poem and entered it into the Dogster contest. Cool, huh? =D

Yesterday: Holy dog yesterday was an EARLY day. Mom had us up at 3:30am!! I went back to bed while I waited for my turn on the treadmill. So we each did 20 minutes on the treadmill. Then Mom gave us our breakfast in kibble balls. We played in the yard, and once Mom left Daddy took us for a 45 minute leash walk. Mom finally came home a couple hours after Daddy left and we played in the house for 1 hour - playing with toys, and Rupert played with Tyson. Then we went to Proctor Farm for 45 minutes and practiced our Come recalls, and just had a good time running around.

Today: Here is our plan- Another super early morning, Mom has to be at work at 6am.
20 Minutes on Treadmill
Breakfast in our kibble balls
45 Minute Leash walk with Dad
Daddy will stop in in the middle of the day to let us out (around 10-11am)
Mom will come home around 1:15pm, and then we will go to a field on Washington Street to play ball and stuff for like an hour.
Mom then has to make a phone call to an Animal Planet woman to see if we can get on that TV thing.. I don't know why she want's to get into that tiny thing, but humans are weird..
Later Rupert has class and we're gunna go to that.

A little behind, but we've been having fun!!

01/28: Mom had to work at 8am, so in the morning after going out to potty she popped us each on the treadmill for 20 minutes before letting us run in the yard, giving us our food toys, and heading off to work. When she got home from work we went to the Beverly Nature Preserve for a little over an hour - and Vista was hunting her little butt off, while Rupert and I were running along the trails. Then we did our 35 minute ride to school so Rupert could go to class.. he loves class - they have some play time at the beginning, and then move on to their training. Fun!

01/29: It was soooo cold and windy this day (for Mom anyway) and so we didn't go hiking. It was around 6 degrees a lot of the day. So we did 20 minute training sessions in the house, played ball and wrestled in the house, and ran out in the yard a bunch of times during the day. Then Mom brought me to work with her for a second to pick up her check.. it smells weird there! We also went for a car ride with Mom and Dad to the store!

01/30: We went to the Golf course for 1 hour, and then played fetch with the ball and chuck-it for 20 minutes. After, we went and played at Grandma's house with Tempi, and watched a movie with the family. We played with so many toys and had goodies! Mmh fun! We went to celebrate Grandma (01/25) and Tempi's (02/01) birthdays. We picked out lots of toys and chews for Tempi!

01/31: We met Shale and her Mom at the park this day, and walked over to the Golf Course. We stayed there, walked, and played for 2.5 hours! We did a little fetch, and lots and LOTS of running! We love it there. It really was a blast.

01/01: Happy Birthday Tempi! Woofs and Wags to you! So this day we went to Chebacco Woods for 1 hour and 15 minutes of hiking fun. Mom brought lots of treats and we worked on our re-calls. We did excellent I might add! Then Vista and I had our Agility Classes. We did super well, even Mom thought so! Then she walked Rupert around when our classes were over. We then went home and went to bed! =D

01/02: Happy Groundhog Day! 6 more weeks of winter.. darn! We've been on a roll with weather in the single digits and teens.. uugh! Finally today is said to get to 30. We went to the Salem Golf Course for 1 hour and ran, and then played Fetch for 30 minutes, and hung out with another doggie in the park.

Good day .. but sad times

Yesterday we went to Weir Hill for a little over an hour and 15 minutes. Then Mom and Dad went to a sad Wake thing (whatever that is.. I just know they left sad, and came home sad).. When they did come home we went on the treadmill for 10 minutes each to work off a bit of energy before bedtime. Poor Mom and Dad were really sad =(

Early this morning Mom woke us up and let us into the yard to potty, and then got us each on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Then we had breakfast, and before Mom left for work she left us Kongs stuffed with roast beef... Yum!!! Then when Mom got home we went to the Salem Golf Course for 1 hour and 45 minutes. We met our old friend Rose, and it was a whole lot of fun and running! I even rolled in something super stinky and awesome.. Mom said I smelled gross and used a wipe to make me smell better - but I don't think it worked, I still smell it!!

What a lovely day .. hope everyone else has a great one too!

We spent 1 hour in the rough wind and pouring rain at the Golf Course.. and tonight we have Agility training class.. Fun!

Good and Bad news

So Friday night that person died... and all my family people were sad, Mom and Dad especially. The next day however (that would be 01/23) we got up, Mom put on a smile, and took us to Chebacco Woods for a little over an hour. The snow getting icey and hard, and it is tough on our pawsies. So we went home after and had breakfast and stuff - and then Mom and Dad took me and me only(!!!) for a 1.5 hour ride up to New Hampshire.. I didn't know where we were going, but once they took me out of the car, we went into this big smelly place and I was told I was going to herd goats!!!! I had never met goats before, and boy was it an interesting experience. Mom gave me a pep talk to let me know that I didn't have to do anything with them if I didn't want to, but to just show her what I've got. At first I was unsure.. but then the second time Mom brought me out with them I started to become more brave and make the goats move! Dad got the 2nd and 3rd tries on video, and we will have to make sure Mom puts it on youtube and adds the link, because I think it's too long for Dogster. Anyhow, Mom was SOO impressed and happy with me!! She said I did phenominal and I agree, I had fun. Can't wait to go back and do it again! Mom was sad she had to leave Vista and Rupert for 7 whole hours - something she never does! - but I sure am glad, because it was a blast! She says next time she wants to bring us all.. ugh! BOL.

Today we went to the Golf Course for 1 hour after we played in the house for hours! Then we went to visit Tempi and Grandma, and get cookies. We came home and played a little in the yard and now we're relaxing in the house.

We're all happy now =D

Running a bit behind - a human fam. member is dying..

Dad's grandfather is dying, so I am sorry for the lapse in diary entries. We're pulled tight here with time and emotions..

01/19: More snow.. In the AM we all snuggled (all 4 of us, doggies and Mom) on the couch! After running in the yard and the house for a bit, Mom put us each on the treadmill for 10 minutes. Then we went and played in the yard for an hour while Mom shoveled some more snow. Then she went to work, and Dad took care of us.. Mom gave us all kinds of toys stuffed with kibble and other goodies before she left though!

01/20: Mom and Dad were rushing and we played in the house and yard, and went hiking at Bev. Nature Preserve for 50 minutes.. then they had to go see a dying person in the hospital.. when they finally got home, they wanted to relax because they were tired. I brought Mommy the bally to throw for me to make her feel better =D

01/21: We got up waaaaaay early and walked for 45 minutes (leash walking.. ugh!!!!). Then Mom had to go to work.. but Dad stayed with us for a bit and played with us in the yard and we got our food-stuffed toys that entertained us for about 20 minutes. Then Mom got home and we went to Chebacco Woods for 1.5 hours and had a blast. After, we went home and ate dinner. We then hopped in the car and went to Rupert's class.. we stayed in the car while Mom and Rupert did their class together.. I wished it was meeee!!! After we got home, Mom and Dad went to visit that person in the Hospice place. When they got home, Mom said she wants to get Vista into a Therapy Dog program.. she said Vista is so lovey that she would be perfect for it.. Not me, no sir no way, I hate weird people touching me.. don't tell anyone I said this, but Vista is the worst cattle dog ever, we're supposed to not need all that lovey mumbo jumbo, but she loves everyone and everything!!!!!!!!!!!!

01/22: Today we played at home, had beef tracheas, had our kibble balls and kongs for 20 minutes, and then went to Beverly Nature Preserve for 1 hour. Vista LOVES it there because she hunts all the little chipmunks and squirrels and things! She comes back all panty-faced to Mom after a good long loud chase! Mom and Dad have been gone a lot today.. 4 hours earlier, and are gunna leave again soon. They tell me they love me and stuff.. I wish they wouldn't leave though..
